I have a foundation and regular reservation waiting for me. With all the now "add-ons" I'd do to the regular I'm looking close to the price of the foundation.

Honestly, I can't justify paying for either. I was hoping the $20k less would actually be $20k less, honestly it's just a gimmick price drop as far as I'm concerned. It's really a stripped-down offering, not a price drop.

Hopefully the real price drop happens once they are able to deliver same day. After doing a demo drive, I'm honestly not even sure I can still justify $80k if it were the same "package" deal as the AWD Foundation Series.

It's time you realize these trucks are no where near these prices. A Lariat is in the $50's and Platinum is in the 70's and under MSRP.

So, you are saying, by next year, buying a Cybertruck will be just like buying any of the legacy EV trucks (in terms of wait times)?

What I know about wait times for various Tesla models is that it goes up and down (and you never know which way it's going to go. Sure, Tesla tries to adjust pricing to suit demand, but demand changes more quickly than they can adjust the pricing.

It wouldn't surprise me at all to see wait times climb into the 3-5 month range within the next year. You cannot predict something as fickle as demand.
I don't have a reservation number and can have a Cybertruck in my driveway next month. Wait times very rarely increase as a car ages. When have you even ever seen this on a year old model?

Where ? It says different on the ford web site. We also no they show you a lower price to get you in the door then start adding things . Tesla the price is the price.

Below is the exhaustive list. I really tried to find issues with the truck. I know a lot of folks would not care but i cared for my $120k so wanted to make sure it was flawless and that was the downfall of it. Service center was able to take care of almost all of these issues but in my mind, I had grown a distrust with the truck already. I could not digest the fact that the biggest pieces of glasses on the truck needed full replacement and this was for a brand new truck. Anyway, I hope and wish the build quality has improved from that point.
1. Left Passanger Door Misaligned.
2. Left tailgate Misaligned.
3. Left upper triangle trim piece not flushed at the front joint.
4. Left upper triangle trim piece not aligned with the rear panel.
5. Frunk panel gap mismatch at between left and right.
6. Frunk not flushed with left and right front panel.
7. Right upper triangle trim piece not flushed at the front joint.
8. Front right wheel arch minor damage (less than 3mm).
9. Rear right wheel arch minor damage (less than 10 mm).
10. Scuff mark below CyberBeast logo on tailgate.
11. Front glass interior has weird fogging patterns.
12. White interior still has black spots from handling.
13. Front windshield needed replacement due to multiple arc scratches.
14. Truck bed top mount covers are not flushed.
15. Truck bed top plastic trim on left side has bulging.
16. Left rear door interior trim is loose
17. Top rear glass side plastric trim is loose at multiple location on both sides.
18. Right rear side door has minor misaligment.
19. top roof panel back and front side has bowing and seems seal has come off and needed replacement.
20. Interior squeaking noise from drivers seat.

Damn, my June 2024 build is literally flawless. I can't find a single thing wrong with it after 3 months.

Exactly! The price of legacy auto goes up and up from the advertised price when you get the stuff you need. With Tesla, there is just tires, interior trim color and whether you want FSD or not.
The fords have like 4 options and two of them are tow packages.

I've never said I want the Cybertruck to fail. I want the Cybertruck to make sales. Reducing price will increase sales. It has high enough margin to reduce price.

There's been many reports of new customers able to configure non-founders series now. Eating through all the reservation holders means either they aren't really serious reservation holders, the prices are too high, or they're waiting for the RWD.

Obviously they should definitely start high and go lower. Hence the Founders, then non-founders, then eventually RWD.

Instead I'm saying reduce price of the AWD to stay competitive.

In order of $/mile range descending:

Silverado EV LT Ext 408 mile for $75k
Sierra EV Denali 440 mile for $89.5k
Lightning Flash 320 mile for $68k
Silverado EV RST Max 460 mile for $98k
R1T Dual Max Pack 410 mile for $92k
Silverado EV RST Ext 390 mile for $89k
CT AWD 340 mile non-founder for $79k

In terms of value, re: $/mile range, they have room to improve.

In order for the CT AWD to get on top of $/mile range, the price would have to be $53k.

Now, it doesn't have to be on top, but better placed for sure.
Thats a great list.

Having driven a car with 310 miles of range for the last 4 years, I knew the CT range wouldn't be an issue for me. I also don't pretend to be a tow bro. Getting to the lake back with the jet ski's etc. is enough for me.

I'll sacrifice the mileage and pay more to never have to set foot in a dealership again and not have to be subjected to a legacy auto company's crappy OS.

It's not about the range. Obviously the Lightning is less range than Cybertruck but less $/range.

The Rivian is a non dealership and provides a lower cost per range.

Tesla should at least beat Rivian.

That would mean a price of under $76k without increasing range.
