Tire wear on inside edge… bad alignment not covered

checked my tires before sending truck in for wiper motor replace. Rear passenger tire completely worn out on inside edge only. Rest of that tire and other three tires at about 30% left. 13,500 miles
Was hoping they would cover it as it was obviously an alignment issue from the factory but had to pay $750 for tire and four wheel alignment. Bummer.
Tech told me that the factory sometimes eyeballs the alignment to save time
Anyone else had funny wear on tires?
Also complained about driver door rattle but they told me to take my stuff out of the door pocket. Still rattles over 80

I think if one goes into the service menu. There is an alignment section.

Lent my truck out. So I can't look now.

I’ve witnessed on CyberTruck slightly crab walking down the freeway local.. barely noticeable from afar, and my first though was if the driver actually noticed it or if the SteerByWire made it hard to detect from the driver seat…

I will be sure to have the misses drive while I follow to check this..

FWS should steer both front and rear in the same direction when changing lanes at speed. Hopefully they're all pointing the same direction when going straight

I am almost always carrying about 800 lbs in the back
I think I will have it aligned with the full load next time

How much was just the alignment? I about choked when you said $750, but then I saw that included the tire. A full alignment on 4 tires is usually $139-$200 at the usual tire places. I am interested in what Tesla charges and was that for all 4 or just the rears?

Yes I do my own alignment

Do you have your own rack or do you own a shop? Are you in SoCal? ? how was your alignment stock from the factory?

I use toe plates, but any straight edge will work. Stock alignment was very good, no adjustments needed.

If you have all terrain tires, the manual calls out putting them at 65 psi when at GVWR. Note the manual situation calls out a more even front/rear weight distribution than load in the back only. 800 pounds in the rear would be maybe 55-60 psi based on axle loads.

Around $250 for 4 wheel alignment
