Nor was Tesla planning to...Tesla scalped the truck themselves with the Foundation. They were pretty smart about getting the most they could for it while it was hot. Obviously it will cool off. At the prices of 80-100k it's not going to sell 300k units a year.
Hot take, I think the CT is going to be a semi-popular gimmick? In a good way. I think the big ambition will be how they can leverage the same core castings in future models like a classic work truck that’s a little bit more boring but highly functional and cheaper. Can’t see that happening until post taxi/giga Mexico.Nor was Tesla planning to...
Guidance has been in the 200k-250k range
From personal experience 1 in 10 seems about right. We've wrapped about 50 Cybertruck at our shop and 6 of them were beasts.I haven't been able to nail that one down I’ve heard a few on her say 1 out of 10 but that’s all speculation as far as what I’ve read. Maybe someone ells knows better but I don’t think that’s been shared yet
My AWD FS delivered on 9/4 has a VIN of 2999x. That's 30,000 FS trucks delivered by early September. Based on the VIN numbers that people reported here, I estimated Tesla was making about 2,500 trucks per week in August/September. With the recent closing of the FS orders, there should be around 50,000 FS when all is said and done.28,250.
The number I posted was based on sales from January to September 2024 and not speculation it’s a fact a simple google search will prove . I personally believe there is only 30k and have heard a few say 30k is the number but we shall seeMy AWD FS delivered on 9/4 has a VIN of 2999x. That's 30,000 FS trucks delivered by early September. Based on the experience with my Model 3, I'm going to wait until they build more like 150K trucks before I order one.My AWD FS delivered on 9/4 has a VIN of 2999x. Tesla tends to iron out a LOT of issues in the first 1.5 years of production and does a lot of part revisions in that time frame as well.
I'd reach out to customer service, I ordered same day as you, picking mine up tomorrow, in NJ,, WA state has way more CT's up there then here...Sweet. Ordered 10/4 and still no VIN. Day one hour one res here and some Joe gonna get delivery before I get a VIN.
They’ve got nothing helpful to say, good at making me feel like I’m being impatient too.I'd reach out to customer service, I ordered same day as you, picking mine up tomorrow, in NJ,, WA state has way more CT's up there then here...
smart move, even Elon stated, new things aren't right until the 3rd version. I was 330,000 in line, picking up mine tomorrow... If i didn't need another set of wheels for the house, I'd wait til the price drops... Which it will due to the high cost.. Ten's of thousands aren't buying now...Based on the experience with my Model 3, I'm going to wait until they build more like 150K trucks before I order one.

Something serious wrong with that,, everyday I checked, the next step was ready to be completed,,,They’ve got nothing helpful to say, good at making me feel like I’m being impatient too.
They won’t even give me a trade in offer, been waiting 15 days for that…
yeah, I think you just got lucky. I know I saw someone here in WA mention they got one. They paid cash for theirs though, so perhaps those not financing took early priority for smoother logistics to have successful early deliveries. I don’t know. I’ve even so much as went in person to speak with someone face to face. Nobody able to help with anything, other than making me feel like I’m being pushy and impatient.Something serious wrong with that,, everyday I checked, the next step was ready to be completed,,,
The VINs have never matched up with recalls or sales. They've been around 6-8k off for the last 2 recalls. My AWD FS delivered on 9/4 has a VIN of 2999x.
