Are you ashamed of your Cybertruck dumpster? ;) I noticed you have three vehicles listed in your profile, but you didn't list your Cybertruck. Or is it a Cyberbeast?

I can congratulate you on listing your location as it really helps put a poster's comments into perspective, whether it's about tires, experiences on the road, headlights/wipers, efficiency numbers, service experiences, etc. So many people just leave their location blank (or put something stupid like "USA").

C'mon people, list the locations you hang in your profile, it adds a lot of context and no one is going to come hunt you down, at least not based on a city or region within a state.
I love my WankPanzer ? ā€œLove the truckā€! It’s actually listed in my profile last as CT. But it seems to get cut off on phones.

Sooo, two days in a road I’ve had people actively attempt to run me off the road.
I've had oncoming vehicles drift over towards my lane, in one case (in the Cybertruck) crossing the center line, but they correct pretty quickly when I casually drift over to the far left edge of my lane, towards the oncoming offender. If we are going the same direction on a multi-lane road, I hold my line a lot longer than they are comfortable with. If you catch them early enough, a slight drift in their direction is usually enough to make them realize what they are doing is not a good idea.

Nobody can run me off the road on purpose without entering my lane AND being willing to physically hit me. Because I will always save myself before it comes to that, but my tolerance for cutting it close is a lot higher than the type of people that try to play these stupid games. Plus, most of them have no idea how quickly the Cybertruck can change direction. But, yeah, they get a charge out of it, if they are able to scare you into taking action. It's pretty rare, even in the Cybertruck, but it can and does happen, regardless of your vehicle type. Most often it's simply people not paying attention.

Don't do this unless you have good situational awareness and know exactly what you are doing because there are often other factors that may bite you if you didn't take them into account. I only do this in a cold and calculating manner, never emotional. There is a difference between being careful and acting with good self-preservation and being overly cautious.

In at least half of these kind of situations it's actually safer to take early action in the "wrong" direction because it sets you up more favorably to handle what might happen next. If your situational awareness is poor, and you don't notice the offender until too late, you might have no choice but to take evasive action because your situational awareness is not sufficient to safely do anything but react to the perceived threat.

I never browse this forum on my phone. I can tell you that "CT" does not show in your sidebar profile. It's also often helpful to others to designate as "Dual Motor" Or "Tri-Motor/Beast"

ignore hate, and block/report whatever they say. I don't think you should be reacting with laughing emotes. you probably can't call him your friend anymore.

If one holds the line early they show the dominance and make the other cars defer. If one hesitates, that shows weakness. Even a Honda Civic will take advantage of that.

Turn phone landscape. Ya see everything.

Wonder how the Cybertruckers in Michigan did at the Dream Cruise on Woodward Ave yesterday.
I received more thumbs down and, I think that is ugly in Michigan than any other state thus far.

Ok CT shows now… not sure what happened. @Administrator needs to make that field a bit bigger.

Im just west of you in Durango.
I don’t live in the state anymore, just camping in the area. Big fan of camping around canon of the ancients. I never stopped in Durango because I figured the public land camping would be packed.

Its actually quite interesting. I sometimes read /r/cyberstuck for entertainment value. Some of the posts are quite funny. The ones that make me laugh are the dumpster pics of which you had to double take and say ā€œwow … I have to admit, it looks like a CT ?ā€. Those posts are all good fun and I must admit enjoying some of them. I think that was the originator’s intent for that subreddit.

That said, there is some serious hate over there. I didn’t know that if you click on someones’s handle, you can see all of thier Reddit content. So for fun, for what it’s worth, I decided to click on some of the names and see what they post all over getting a feel for who these people are and if they are a solid swathe of the population, meaning there is general hate for the CT, or if these people represent small groups of like-minded individuals. Here is what I found:

A majority are Gen-Z/Millenials. A lot also seem to be extreme anti-Musk and hang out in /r/EnoughMuskSpam and /r/WhitePeoplesTwitter and other similar subreddits. Many are vehement anti-Trump/Musk and post in anti-conservative subreddits. I am guessing folks who hate Trump and see Musk’s support extends to anyone who supports Tesla is an instant villain. Many also seem to hang out in gaming subreddits, and seem quite young (teens and 20s).

Several make comments about how CT owners say ā€œthey are just jealousā€. Interestingly I found many of those folks own older used vehicles and some comment that if they could afford a CT, they would never buy one - I’m thinking there are some sour grapes here. I don’t notice Porche/Mercedes/etc folks posting over there, so there aren’t many luxury vehicle owners commenting, although if there are, I assume they are in a tiny minority. Some are in subreddits complaining about their jobs, of which many are servers in places like the Olive Garden or baristas. I definitely think there is some denial with the jealousy comments they make. There was one knucklehead who posts a lot about how our CTs break down all the time and talks a lot about how our vehicles are junk/trash as well as how dumb we are to buy something so unreliable. This gentleman, however owns a 9 or 10 yo VW Golf Sportwagon. He posts in several Reddit VW forums talking about how to repair many issues that he experiences with his car. I think this guy posts more on VW issues than we have had in total in all of our forums. I found it amusing watching some of these guys talk trash about our ā€œWankPanzerā€ (that’s what they call CTs) being unreliable, where their own vehicles seem to have a ton more problems than us. The hypocracy was hilarious. I will note, I think the term WankPanzer is quite hilarious and have caught myself referring to my CT as the WankPanzer.

In summary, the majority haters are representative of a small group of like-minded folks. They definitely do not represent a random sampling of our population. They do seem to have an agenda and a bone to pick. In other words, don’t let them get to you. It’s a lot funner to see where some of these knuckleheads post and get a feel for who some of these people actually are. You will think ā€œNothing to see here, move alongā€ and ā€œthe shoe fits on that personā€. After a while, you will guess what subreddits some of these folks post to, and you will laugh… thinking I KNEW IT!ā€ ?
Exactly, it's only the losers that are hating saying that they "wouldn't" get a CT. I find people that can actually afford them are intrigued and plan to get one in the future.

Those types remind me of that dirty stoner character that claims they wouldn't have sex with a supermodel, and you just laugh and correct them, "you mean you couldn't?"

Before social media existed (90s)I had a Mustang 5.0 convertible. I got some haters then too. Especially when I had a lady in the car with me. It was usually from people with crappy cars though. Yelling, flipping birds, etc.
Yep, 100% so far. All scumbags that couldn't get one even if they worked 3 full time jobs.

Next time one of these dirtbags claims that they "wouldn't buy one" be sure to correct them and let them know they couldn't buy one. Just like they couldn't jump to the moon as if they had a choice.

It reminded me of when I bought my ex wife a peloton. My buddy sends me articles on the company failing every day ? I don’t even own it anymore or married but it doesn’t stop him.
I use to get people saying ā€œthey recalled this or thatā€. My response is ā€œyeah I was sleeping when they sent the fix over the wifi ! Now I get allot of people saying ā€œhow do you like it ā€œ with a bit of an undertone of waiting for me to say bad things. I always respond with ā€œ I wasn’t sure at first with the attention it gets and hate but honestly everyday I love it more! It’s so amazing to drive. And they shut up ?

I have chunks missing from my tires from excessive offroading and every time I go there's a group of people waiting for it to break, get stuck, run out of battery after 6 hours of rough terrain. They always leave disappointing and with a fresh perspective on how capable and bad ass the truck really is.

That’s bad ass! It’s truly all jealousy and haters. I can’t imagine going off roading or anything and think ā€œI hope that truck failsā€ that’s allot of energy ? I might say ā€œit’s not for meā€ but that’s about it . but the jealousy , hate is crazy to me.

I think it's hilarious that people heat shrinking their Cybertrucks with inked vinyl are surprised when it "stains the stainless" and the ones that put rare earth magnets on the vehicle expecting rust not to build up. Apparently these guys don't know how cassette tapes and VCRs work. Hater websites full of college indoctrinated losers love reporting on the ignorance.

It's stainless people, it can get removed at the surface level ?
