Hi everyone. Is there a way to control the volume of the external speaker? On my Thanksgiving trip, I hit a coyote with the right front tire. It broke off the fairing and smacked the speaker hard. I thought it was broken because I couldn't hear my lock sounds. While on the trip, I think there was snow and ice build up that was impacting it. Now that I'm home in Seattle, I've taken it apart and order the fairing and wheel liner and inspected the speaker. It seems to be working. I can hear the lock sounds and I tried playing boom box media but the volume is low. It seems lower then I recall. Is this something with 12.5.5.3 or have I truly damaged the speaker? I found an adjustment for boombox volume but as I recall, music played through the external speaker always sounded pretty bad. Basically, I am having trouble hearing if my truck has locked as I walk away in parking lots etc.

Someone recently pointed out that when you are using the Boombox, there is a separate volume slider on the right side of the screen that is not controlled by the left scroll wheel, and that volume also applies to other functions of the external speakers like the lock sound. So maybe fire up boom box, adjust the volume up all the way with the RIGHT slider, and then try the lock sound volume?

I looked and couldn't find anything like that. Can anyone share a picture?

The volume slider only appears while sound is being played from the boombox.

I've looked all over and can't find any additional slider. I can use the wheel on the steering wheel while media is playing but it just applies to boom box. If I roll the wheel while the lock sounds are previewing, they get louder * inside * the truck as they start to come through the internal speakers but the change doesn't seems to stick or apply to the external speaker.

Play something through the boombox and while it is playing use the touchscreen volume control on the bottom right side of your screen. The icon will change when adjusting to a music note for the boombox..
