This has been happening recently. When I let go of the acceleration, there's a sound coming from the back. As soon as I press the pedal, it stops. It continues this until I hear some kind of air suction? That's the best way I can describe that sound. Then the "jackhammer" sound disappears. I just scheduled a service. Is this normal?

Whenever I press the accelerator, there is a subtle hum of the electric motor but nothing like this.

Go to a Service Center “Immediately”! That sounds serious

Please check my post. I had exact same sound, I recorded and posted a video on Facebooks Tesla owners group.

This is your air compressor. There is a fix for this. It’s all software based… my sound went away.

Please follow the steps below:

A few folks from the Cybertruck owners’ website suggested going into “Service” and then clicking “Remove Saved Locations.”

When you click Saved Locations, you will see two options:

1. Remove Mirror Fold Locations

2. Remove Ride Height Locations (or something like that).

Click and remove the Ride Heightoption.

Basically, your Cybertruck has an AI that adjusts your ride height based on GPS locations and routes.

In my case, this air compressor issue occurs in the morning and afternoon when I drive my kids to school for drop-offs and pickups. It’s always the exact same route.

It’s on this route that the air compressor keeps running… loud and clear.

If I think back, I believe it was sometime on this route when I was playing around with the ride height settings while driving and showing my kids and wife.

Since then, my Cybertruck decided it’s going to do me a favor and adjust my ride height to my liking for that particular route.

I’ve turned off that feature as stated above, and so far, it’s not happening. I drove my usual route this afternoon with zero air compressor sounds.

I got my truck into Service on the 31st and they said they were going to run diagnostics. Today they closed the service ticket and told me that they couldn't replicate the sound and for me to pick up my car. The day I dropped off the car we went on a test drive and was able to show them the sound. I am going tomorrow morning and will try to replicate it for them. I will mess around with these settings. I saw your post and your sound is like a hum. Mine sounds like a mini jackhammer...when you raise your suspension is there noise?
