Foundation Series is BACK (in Tesla online inventory)!

It’s not too late to be an early adopter! Tesla has just added a large number of Foundation Series Cybertrucks to its inventory system, at locations throughout the US. As of today (Friday 12/13), the Foundation Series is available for order again in 49 states (sorry Hawaii) and the District of Columbia.

To check out your options, go to the Tesla Inventory page, and make sure “New” and “Cybertruck” are selected. Then click below the “Inventory” label in the upper left, in the zip code field. This will bring up the “Search Area” box; enter your home zip code and select “All Deliverable”.

Tesla has kept the 2023 pricing: still $99,900 for AWD and $119,990 for CyberBeast; that includes FSD (Supervised) and numerous other extras. In most areas, multiple Foundation Series configurations are available. Since the non-Foundation Series is currently available as well, prospective CT buyers in the US now have more options than ever.

Apologies if the post sounded like a bot, but the information is factual. The Foundation Series really is now available for order again throughout the US (except Hawaii) in Tesla's inventory system. Try it for yourself.

If you click on a specific vehicle and scroll to the end, you can identify the location where it is available. This may or may not be close by, but Tesla considers it to be "Deliverable".

Tesla is actively selling the FS in both Canada and Mexico. In fact, the FS is currently the only option for CT buyers in those countries. Presumably the non-Foundation option will be made available in the future, as it was in the US.

If Tesla ever offers the CT in any other countries (China? Australia?), sales will probably start off with the FS again.

Yes, but only in a few places. Since November, a limited selection of FS has remained available in a handful of states, particularly Florida and Georgia. But the FS was not officially offered in most of the US.

However, the FS is now available for order nationwide, with a relatively large selection in most areas. Even in Florida and Georgia, there are more options now, as noted in this new thread.

Question: speaking of add ons, if I buy a Foundation for $90k from third party do I get to keep the lifetime connectivity, and FSD?

Bought my 3 from third party in the past and on the first update my FSD vanished?!

If Tesla had traditional dealerships, then sure, the dealers would discount older inventory to move it off the lot. Just standard retail practice.

But Tesla doesn't use the traditional dealership model. All Tesla stores are company-owned, with pre-determined prices set at Tesla HQ -- perhaps by Elon himself. The Tesla stores have no flexibility to offer discounts on their own. Seems like discounts could make sense in this situation, but no sign of them yet.

Check this out. Tesla is buffing out FS badges on all leftover units and trying a new strategy. Basically peddle them as $79,990 trucks but with an older VIN.

Once 2025 hits nobody wants a 2024 without a hefty discount.
