weird way to start a conversation but here it goes. I get to take another road trip in the CT. Look forward to it. I keep reading these forums looking for upgrades, ideas and general topics but soooo many are negative. I am also on other media sources and they too are doom and gloom. I am terrified I will hit a snow flake or something stupid, blow out the front, heater will in turn quit and turn the cab into a deep freeze killing my batteries and trapping me like a frozen burrito. Meanwhile the wheels will fall off, bumpers and window wiper. When I do not think I can take any more I can escape because the cab has rusted through and the glass popped out. Not to worry though, both motors will have quite before I got far and the controller will catch fire on the way to a charger because I have a 90 mile range. Thank god Tesla will have it repaired in 3-4 years. At my expense of course. Sound about right? Or should I just run it and say " I did pay 108k for one of the most sophisticated trucks in the world more capable than anything else and it should be fine." I am going with the later but for those of you who post positives, thanks for those.

Over 13.5k miles on mine and have not had a single issue. Have towed things. Some mild off road adventures. Wash it all the time. Driven in temps over 120°F and below 5°F. Tires wear amazingly even. I could go on and on. The haters are going to hate. Yes there are some trucks that have had issues and some of those issues are silly and unfortunate.

Technically we all have a chance of dying at any moment but I don’t think we ever think about it.

Enjoy the truck. Enjoy the road trip. Live in the moment!

Do whatever makes you happy, maybe it's not the right vehicle for you.

I'm still loving my AWD after 6+ months and 4K miles. I drive it daily, run it hard and put it away wet. It's a truck, and the most amazing piece of personal transportation I've ever experienced (and I've owned a 911 Turbo and Model S Plaid).

You do you. Be happy friend.

The fingerprint thing is a joke.. meaning if you encourage and let every random passerby fondle your truck with Greasy Chicken Fingers then of course your truck will have many finger prints. Or your normally painted car…

One week in and having done my normal routine, company holiday festivities and picking a friend up from train station, there are none on my truck…

$0.02 ?

Thanks for that!

It really puts into perspective just how many of these "woe be me" stories are fake or made up. There are too many people who don't even own a Cybertruck coming here with the goal of spreading doom and gloom.

I just wish more people could see through them easier.

Go to any forum specific to any vehicle. The majority of posts are about problems with the vehicle. Its a great way to get help troubleshooting a problem with a car or truck. When my Silverado was having steering column issues, I went to one of the forums dedicated to that truck and then had to go to the year / model section to get feedback. Guess what, there were many that had the same issue and helped me identify the issue, the expected fix, and expected cost. It gave piece of mind. Of course mixed in are all the comments about the truck being great or the truck being a piece of sh!t. Those comments are not helpful.. you just sort of have to pass over them.

Point being, over time if this is like most other vehicle forums, you will see more and more posts about specific issues and people trying to understand if it is 1) an actual issue or normal operating behavior (most of the posts about noise - as in...is it normal sound or not). 2) expectations and experiences regarding fixes and time to fix - this one is important and also helpful because the vehicle is so new so you can help set expectations with your local service center and also know what is in warranty and what may not be. 3) Is it a minor DYI item that I can fix myself without a trip to an SC or 4) is the issue I am having a pre-cursor to a bigger issue down the road (this is the one everyone fears, but there is not really enough data out there to know if there are any boogy men waiting to get you in your truck).

Consider yourself lucky if you have never gone to a forum specific to your vehicle before. You will walk away certain you have just bought a piece of garbage, or God forbid you do it before you buy that vehicle, you will most certainly not purchase it. Ignorance is bliss.

Just. Wow.
I haven't driven as far as others but I DID make a 1,400 mile road trip and I daily drive 84 miles in a mix of highway and DC Traffic. The only problem I've had is that my Cargo Vault Divider is a pain to install. Oh, my rear camera doesn't do well at night. It looks really foggy and washed out at times.

The truck? Fantastic. No problems. Take your Cybertruck on adventures. Enjoy it.

This is the same reason you shouldn't cruise WebMD when you have a cold or a stomach ache. You'll learn of all the things that could go wrong - but are so exceedingly rare as to not be at all likely.

Sounds like you need a safe space.
To be honest, we all do. Worry does actual physical and metal harm, and reduces your body's ability to repair itself.

Hope this helps!

I recommend modifying it per others in this forum or else get the new cargo divider. I move it around frequently, easy peasy

For safety reasons, I don't actually drive mine. I have it mounted in a hermetically sealed glass box in the living room on a slowly rotating pedestal. Dim lighting on it, as I've read that regular strength photons will damage the steel.

I sneezed once and thought I heard something fall off. So now I don't go in the living room anymore.
