@JCERRN Your poll is fine, and I understand why you posted it.

Please try to ignore the people that are attacking your thread. If people are so upset about it, then they can ignore it.

I don't see your thread being toxic and I see many people have already participated in your poll.

Kudos to the curiosity!

My truck is a dream to drive. Absolutely no issue whatsoever. Foundation Series VIN 2999x. There were some gaps and misalignments as delivered from the factory, but Tesla corrected them. I know I am lucky when it comes to Cybertruck issues.

Are they waiting for parts or still trying to diagnose?
They fixed some of it at service center. Had to send it to the collision center for the rest. Collision center fixed some and now are waiting for parts. They said parts should come in Tuesday and truck should be ready end of week.

My only issue so far occurs randomly and could not be duplicated at a service call. At rare times, I will stop at a red light and the truck will lower itself. The Tesla technician checked my setting and they were all set for lowered drive (most range possible). I don’t play with ride height at all. Has anyone else noticed this?

once in a while I can feel the back of the truck drop, but it is very little. More like it adjusting the air suspension to level it out. Not sure this is the same issue you are having.

Genuinely curious how people will reply. I know this forum does not represent EVERY CT owner but its a good swath. And those who are active most recently either seem to be:

1. Selling something.
2. Asking if others have had the same issue or seeking a solution.
3. Posting about how much they love their truck.

so really the point here is to graph the data, your response is appreciated!

if you have had problems, and have posted about them, feel free to mention them so others can view your threads.

Feel free to post about your great experiences too!

if you haven't had problems or don't care about the defects you may or may not have noticed, dont hate on this thread, as just because you havent had issues, does not invalidate those who have. The point isnt to attack the product, but merely to get an idea of the statistics of ownership.
So far so good… It’s been a great experience. However, I have not been looking for trouble. Those that are looking for problems I’m sure will find them.

The a-pillar steel plates that meet the front quarters are not flush (one corner protruding), both touching the quarter panels, and I believe may be the cause of wind noise around 45 mph. So far, this is the only functional complaint I have. I spoke to a few Tesla employees, and both are saying there’s not much they can do and it’s just how it is, which is very disappointing if that’s true. I will push on Tesla to fix it, and I hope they do.

As for other cosmetic complaints, the driver door panel above the accent light is a little bulky and hangs slightly over the accent light silver trim. Visually, it’s pretty noticeable. Also, the steering wheel stitching is bulky on the side where the corner meets the horn and it doesn’t look symmetrical with the other side. And the rear window gasket is not straight at all, looking sloppy.

Overall, though, I love the truck, but the build quality is a little disappointing. It needs another year to work things out. If you’re not in a hurry, it might be worth waiting a bit on ordering and giving yourself plenty of runway to reassign a VIN if you’re not happy with it.

I kind of knew this was a risk going into it for only being out there for a year, and I think I just got a poor build by chance. I could have reassigned myself another VIN, but I was leaving town and wanted to make sure I got it by the end of the year for all of the end-of-quarter deals. At the very least, they need to fix the wind noise.

Sounds frustrating but fortunately nothing major. Hopefully later iterations work out the fit and finish issues.

Thats basically how Tesla works, they bank on early adopters to bear the burden of early iteration problems and report them so that they can make a better vehicle in the future.

It’s still wild to me that only 1/3 of respondents have found their truck to be “perfect”.
