I'm a little confused by the Electrek article and their references to different design inspirations to the CT. Reveal night had a Delorean and a number of vehicles from Bladerunner which was credited by Franz and Elon as their source of inspiration.

Also, the patent document doesn't even include the other vehicles mentioned (unless I'm missing something).

Yes, you just missed them On the first page, bottom left, the 'references cited'.....those are the vehicles in the electrek article....

A design patent isn't like other patents. It just says this is their design, it's unique, and no one else has it. I think it's more useful in copyright deals than anything.

Ah got it!! It was by designer surname and not by vehicle name.

Looks like there will be a screen mesh for the front lower inlet portion of the radiator cooling area.

I think the patent is for the general design and isn’t extremely specific. The drawings were probably made/submitted before the decision to remove the door handles.

The handles in the patient drawings were presented awhile ago and again tweaking the final product without the handles is still protected overall!

Street legal version, not like the side-by sides which are not street legal.

Maybe a bit bigger bed/ cargo area.

Just thinking if Tesla can make the Cybertruck for $40k, they could make something like this for maybe $20k?

Yes, all Teslas have an intake under and behind the bumper. It goes under the frunk into the heat-pump which is in the forward bulkhead of the safety cell.
