Not sure what is going on with the back window/pass through area. I guess the tonneau is retracted but it almost looks like there is no glass back there too.

Yeah, a tiny bed is not a truck truck, its a toy truck or a play truck. I don't think I can go from my 8' bed down to a a 5.5' or 4.5' bed. Not even sure why with a bed that small you need to have a 3500 load capacity honestly unless the only work thing you do is haul pallets of pavers....

Front bumper looks different.
Eh, I am not a fan of the separation of the grill/bumper for the DRLs. I wonder what the impact (if any?) there will be on range? I guess they have to put the sensors somewhere, right? With that long dashboard, I would bet the frunk will extend back a good ways and thus the shorter hood.

It looks to me like the space where the sail pillar storage was going to be is gone due to the top being narrower.
I agree, it looks like there's less space for it. I wasn't really jazzed by the idea of more places that I can lose stuff, to be honest. If the pillar storage were deep and you dropped something in there and couldn't reach it, Lord have mercy....;)

my humble thoughts:

(1) is it me, or does the bed look shorter as does the front
(2) a big ass wiper......as said earlier, may block some vision
(3) ugly side-view mirrors.......I guess they gave up on them being inside
(4) truly different then on reveal night

these somewhat new changes have put a small damper on my imagination of what it would look like......I guess it like when you see something for the first time, you never forget it and any change is a drastic one

we still have many months before first one rolls off the line, but hopefully we will get an official version of final design in the not to distant future
I want a CT for the use of the Cyberlandr camper. Shorter bed takes a lot of functionality away :(

Not a matter of depth. Just the fact that in a normal truck the fridge is flush with the truck bed wall which helps stabilize it a bit. With this, the fridge will be sort of floating in the middle of the bed with only one contact point where the roof touches it.

Not a huge deal, just a bit awkward.
its also a huge pain in the ass for those of us using the bed to transport motorcycles or vespas. The overhang is probably going to cause the front tire fender on mostly anything to smash into the overhang instead of the front of the tire resting against a flat bed wall with some space for the fender above. If anyone had issues with front fender contacting the flat bed wall, you just added a chunk of a 4x4 before your wheel chock to move the front tire slightly away from the wall. Now with that overhang, especially if its 1' overhang you are going to have to push the wheel chock that much further away from the front bed wall which means your bed is actually too short to transport motorcycles with the tailgate up. Huge disappointment if they shorten the bed.

Let’s work out a side deal. I mean, nooo, reconsider…here’s my number.

I suspect there is a pass through. Without engaging, I think the bed is the same length and with pass through down, exceeds 8 foot. However , vertical overhang would cover a portion.

For those needing long beds, would the configuration described be a deal breaker?

I was assuming it wouldn’t be 20“+ deep but would be a good place to keep my chainsaw and chaps where it’s not bouncing around in the bed or in the cabin.

Holy shit that wiper is fucking ugly.

So much for being optimistic about the magnetic rail wiper.

As time moves on down the road, the Cybertruck is moving farther from it’s original design. The latest post shows a front end with two separate head lamps. What happened to the single wide beam across the front? I’m hoping the side mirrors are moved indoors as digital monitor screens so as not to junk up what was clean lines of the original design. And is it just me, or is the truck bed smaller looking? My current hauling limits allows for a 4x8ft sheet of plywood. I will miss that space should the bed be less than at least 6ft long.

No way in hell I can go down to a 5.5 foot bed. Regularly buying 4x8 and 10'+ long boards. I make them work with creativity in my Silverado's 6.5' bed, but 5.5' or less and the center of gravity is gonna be beyond the edge of the tailgate when its up.

There have been two things that will force me to cancel my order: if the yoke is kept, because backing up a 25' trailer will be a pain in the dick with it, and haptic buttons suck. Or, if the bed shrunk to the point I can't haul lumber over 8 feet long in it.

I'm not getting a good feeling here....
