Just did a 1200 mile trip in the Model Y, I’m curious how you can get 2.5 hours of delay.I’ve taken a road trip in a Model Y from northern California to Arizona (741 miles) and although it is super convenient having SCs being so prevalent across the U.S., it did make the trip longer by 2.5 hours each way.
2.5 hours is not that much of a difference under normal conditions, but when you factor in towing, having to use A/C, etc., then having to constantly stop to charge that similar travel will considerably increase by more than 2.5 hours.
So yes, range in a vehicle that some of us will use as a utility vehicle (as Tesla claimed it would be during their unveil) is certainly VERY important.
Most of our stops we’re 20 minutes or less. Basically time to use the bathroom, and grab some lunch. This was mostly in California on a holiday weekend.
