So now I need a dimpling kit for my ct? I wouldn’t want to add any weight. And don’t really want to “hammer” the dimples into place. Not sure how one might carve out the dimples.

Might reduce drag a little when you stick your head out the window. It’s a cheap way to increase range (so long as you were planning on driving with your head out the window the whole time anyhow)
I like you Ogre.. dunno why but I like you ? (y)

Somehow I get the sense that a head sticking out an open window will cause more drag than what can be saved by shaving of the hair.

But it reminds me of the golf ball dimples that are supposed to bring better flight statistics.

The Corbin Sparrow experimented with that idea.

Not sure what effect such dimpling might have on a CT.
Dimples on golf balls is supposed to make it stay longer in the air and thus gets the range.

In that case, dimples will make the car fly longer into the air when hit by a semi.

Maybe Mcgyverfever already has dimples?

Best way to reduce trailer drag, apart from obvious aerodynamic and weight improvements is to have a telescopic hitch that pulls the trailer closer when going straight down the highway for better slipstreaming.

Does such a thing exist?

Seems like with an intelligent enough vehicle it could adjust it on the fly. That would be a pretty cool add on.

Especially if it would dynamically find the aerodynamic sweet spot.

Yep heaps of euro bulk carrier trucks have it.

They typically just have a valve that proportionally increases the trailer arm length depending on the steering and ramp over angle. They only have about 1ft between the truck and trailer whilst going straight and then it extends to go around corners or dips. Some have steered axles as well.

The sweetspot is to get it as close as you can to avoid turbulence whilst ensuring it doesn't make contact whilst driving.

Get a more efficient trailer.

The towing examples I’ve seen involved trailers which were not aerodynamic at all. It makes a significant difference. The one family with a Model X switched from a boxy trailer to an Airstream and it increased their range more than 50%. If you can get 177 miles with a Model X, you should be able to get 230-250 on a 500 mile Cybertruck which is in the ballpark of useful range.
