I like your strategy.
I note the stock price close of business day before earnings call. Put in for a buy 10% below that number. It will hit in a few days. Then Sell 10% profit. It will take effect before the next earnings call. If this crazy plan worked I would be 40% richer every year. Elon is something else - I still laugh about his April Fools prank - not only is he genius, he has a sense of humor and money means nothing to him (ref Mclaren, “watch this”)

If you just bought Tesla and sat on it for the past 5 years you’d be far better off than +40%/ year.

Buy and hold Tesla for 5 years: 3100% returns. Hard to beat a 31 bagger.

Buy 10 shares whenever Elon says something stupid.

After he announces when he’s going to Mars, start selling.

Stiller, Apatow and Carey came up with a plan to shoot one dark version of each scene, and one comedic version, and then they mixed and matched in the editing room.
It really stands on its own as creepy, dark comedy art, thing.

Give a hot take in a pub, your friends call you a knob and move on.
Give a hot take as a celebrity, people remember it forever and make it a central part of their conception of who you are.
It's not really fair, but neither is having an outsized influence on People/Politics/The World just because you're on TV/Internet/Stock Market/Game Show so I guess it evens out.
