I’m getting so freaking antsy for this Dual AWD. I have a 4,000lbs camper just sitting in storage as I got rid of my truck. Hopefully June is on par and it’s not making me wait til 2027

When I ordered in 2019, my primary vehicle was a lease. The lease was up in 2020, when I was 100% WFH and couldn't go anywhere anyway, so I pretty much went without a car until I got the CT in 2024. (I still had the DeLorean, but it's not great at grocery runs or airport pickups hahahaha)

Buy a used Model S in the mean time. 😁

Going through a buy back right now and may be out of a CT for several months. Been noticing early Model Ss going for low $10k. Tempted to buy one and mess around with it until getting another truck. But my wife would probably kill me; we have 6 other cars.

Front motor noise. In my case, Tesla had 4 attempts to repair it and it's still making noise, so I opted for a buy back.

Half joking about the recommendation for an older Model S. Only mentioned it cause, like you, I'm considering what to do without a CT in the mean time.

Realistically, owning a 10+ year old EV out of warranty carries some level of risk. I do most of the wrenching on my own cars, so I don't mind taking apart an older S if it needs repair...including pulling the battery or motor; haven't done that but wouldn't mind doing so.

If your focus is FSD, then you don't want an older S. Hardware has significantly improved since then and modern Teslas work MUCH better.
