So the other day I got a message saying I had used Grok too much inside the Cybertruck and that I was no longer able to use it. Now before you guys jump all over me, I am not complaining. I LOVE the CT and I love GROK. The truth is I do use GROK a lot. On long trips I will ask it to explain scientific concepts to me like I am stupid, (Which I am) or help me with investment strategies for myself or my children, or even some basic research on legal cases I am arguing. I thought about asking GROK this question, but didn't want to get put back in purgatory again. :)

Does anyone know what the limitations for queries are, how long the purgatory lasts? It seems to be already turned back on, but after showing it off to some friends the other day I got the message again. It also suggests that for 30.00 per month I can buy more access, but I would like to know how much I get for the money. The really bad thing about being cut off was it did it without any warning and, of course, when it did happen it was while I was on a trip to Branson that GROK navigation would have been very helpful. Anyone else have this experience? I am guessing I am in the top 10% of users, but I only have an N of one so it would be really cool to read more about it. Appreciate any help or insights you guys may have.

Darick, you answered the question I've wondered but never asked, how much Grok do I get in the car? Curious if you pay for premium connectivity or are you using another source for Wifi?

I have the foundation Series, so it comes with premium connectivity.

Unlimited Grok would be a nice perk for premium connectivity. They took away Tesla (Slacker) streaming music service a few years ago. Then again they did add Sentry Mode live view.

Happened to me yesterday too. On the next drive, later in the evening, it came back. Said I was limited to 10 interactions

No mention of any limit on Tesla's Grok support page:
https://www.tesla.com/support/grok#what-is-grok

Though the standard legal disclaimer exists:
"Grok availability and account requirements are subject to change at any time."
This is one of my issues with Tesla - very little to no documentation.
When you encounter a 'deviation' between your expectations and something your Tesla does or does not do - you don't know if it is a problem or you don't understand the feature.

You go to the forums - where results may vary.

For example the CT tire inflator *might* have a handle - there is a handy 'hoop' that swivels from the top - however the instructions do not mention it at all.

I am currently irritated, that Tesla changed the app - requiring you to press an 'acknowledge' dialog when you want to turn on the cabin climate control.

The implementation is terrible in that now, when you press the climate 'ON' app button - after about 3 seconds or more you are presented with a dialog 'Your in low power mode, climate uses battery, blah, blah...' [BTY: Low power mode came with an update - and not a my request]

..If you don't see that dialog - and acknowledge it - Climate DOES NOT TURN ON - when you press the climate ON button - as it previously did.

If Low-Power mode is undesired, you can disable it.

I don't have Low-Power enabled typically, and I get no such confirmation-request when remotely enabling climate.

I understand I can disable low-power mode. And most all of us EV owners understand nearly all the cars functions - come from the battery power.

So it's unnecessary IMO after the first prompt to keep informing me that climate control uses power.

Also, the remote climate/unlock is a convenience feature as your heading to your car, walking down, grabbing your gear to head out. [ and not trying to forget anything] so it's a nuisance for it to 'ask/report' about the consequences of your request.

Unlocking the doors also consumes battery power - I don't think anyone would tolerate an 'Are you sure you want to unlock the doors - consumes battery power & your vehicle is configured in low-power mode' prompt, every time you went to unlock your EV.

Just turn on the climate controls - I know it consumes power.

Piling on here. The outlets are now behind this low-power mode. As you can't turn ON the outlets - unless you go to the power menu and reconfigure the power mode.

So 3 key presses turn into 8 or more...simply a pain the modern world, where you swipe to answer a phone call.

[Suddenly Grok admins notice a significant reduction in usage in Tesla vehicles] I know my personal take-away from all of this is "Use Grok sparingly" which probably means I will just stop using it all-together rather than worrying about if I am getting close to my limit. It is kinda cool but something I would rather live without than play the crippleware game.
