It also hurts care directly. It’s why we document constantly spending way less time on actual clinical problem solving.So many dont understand this. Im an ER provider and this is the forefront of almost every patient that comes in. “How would this look in court?”
Epic alone rakes in about 6 billion dollars a year. Mad respect for what you do in the ED. I come down for traumas, but that’s generally something that’s been activated by either EMS or another provider. If I had to deal with the masses of people who dont actually need to be admitted or scanned and so forth, I would have quit years ago
