I need Tesla to clarify if 160lbs really is the vertical load limit. Can anyone help me? Just to put it into perspective of what I’m dealing with, if the Cybertruck does have a vertical load limit of only 160lbs and I can’t haul bikes off the hitch, then I would have to cancel my camper...
lol we’re just making excuses now on a limitation. If we are truly limited to 160lbs because of the limitations of aluminum vs steel then I think that’s important to know. Simple question. It didn’t make sense to me it shares the same limit as model y and is considered a “truck”
This question was raised by me, I’m the one quoted in the article, this is my use case. My question is, why can I do this on every other pickup truck except the cybertruck?
I have asked this question on Facebook. I have tweeted Wes Merrill. There was an article written about my concerns and I am still not any closer to an answer.
This is directly from Tesla website. Cybertruck can only support 160lbs vertical load on the hitch before causing damage.

I’ve had a large preorder for UPP products since December. They literally have nothing to sell. Unless you’re an influencer, then top of the list for you. Like I said, they on Elon time.
Yes relocated sensors to trick the system to put more air in the shocks. My question is, when the suspension is already maxed out on a stock setup, what happens when you take it past max?
The response has been “it’s coming soon” or “you’re next on the list” for months. Just curious when products will start to be available for the general public. $15k is a lot of money to sit on.
Has there been any testing on the increased stress on the CV joints on highest setting? Is it okay now but will increase chance of failure in the future? I want this kit to work but the simplicity gives me questions. I understand Land Rover air suspension was referenced to work the same...
I purchased this kit too but am slightly worried on reliability. The OEM factory suspension maxes out the air suspension in extract mode. What happens with this kit and maxing out the suspension? I’ve already blown one air suspension module so I’m curious how this kit performs.
