  1. Motorcycle Lane Splitter Visibility

Why are you getting so upset while you safely sit in your metal cage? Does it truly affect you that a motorcycle passed you speeding? Are you in any danger because of this?
  2. Motorcycle Lane Splitter Visibility

It’s gross how many people think bikers deserve to be hit…ya’ll need to accept there are different rules of the road for cars and bikes. To the OP, the fact you are even thinking about riders safety as you drive is all we ask for. Mistakes happen, blind spots happen, accidents happen. But what...
  3. Vertical load limit vs. tongue weight limit

Tell me where to enter my cc information lol
  4. Vertical load limit vs. tongue weight limit

Supposedly from the owners manual, yes.
  5. Cyber "Truck" Towing Question: hitch receiver is designed to support vertical loads up to 160 lb (72 kg)?

Honestly don’t think the question will ever be answered. Majority of owners/fans don’t get it or don’t care. Tesla has no incentive to address this. It’s only a few of us who use our trucks as trucks and who question what the manual says.
  6. Vertical load limit vs. tongue weight limit

Yup. I realize this is a specific use case, however, this is what trucks do. Feels more like an suv than a work truck imo
  7. Vertical load limit vs. tongue weight limit

You are probably the first person out of 100 that has actually used critical thinking when I’ve asked this question, you’re giving me hope. But that’s not a bad idea at all. Totally see what you’re saying to avoid the twisting of the hitch and stabilize the corners. I’ve also considered...
  8. Vertical load limit vs. tongue weight limit

Exactly. This is Tesla just being lazy
  9. Vertical load limit vs. tongue weight limit

I appreciate your understanding here. The plan has always been range extender + space camper + electric dirt bike on the hitch. Now it looks like I can’t put the bike on the hitch so I could either get a trailer and waste half my range or scrap the idea completely and save $40,000 lol
  10. Vertical load limit vs. tongue weight limit

Agreed, however, if anything were to happen I would be liable
  11. Vertical load limit vs. tongue weight limit

It's not an error. Cybertruck was tested using the standard 160 pound weight test for hitch mounted accessories. It was also tested using an 11k gross, 1,100 pound tongue trailer configuration. One could extrapolate that the trailer test implies a higher theoretical accessory capacity, but...
  12. Vertical load limit vs. tongue weight limit

Now we’re on the same page lol however, there is a difference. For example, look at the Silverado No we’re on the same page lol however, there is a difference between tongue weight and vertical load limit. Look at this tow rating from a Silverado. 1,100 tongue weight (weight distributing) and...
  13. Vertical load limit vs. tongue weight limit

Again, this thread has nothing to do with towing.
  14. Vertical load limit vs. tongue weight limit

No. Vertical load limit is different to tongue weight limit.
  15. Vertical load limit vs. tongue weight limit

And this clearly states the vertical load limit of a hitch accessory is 160lbs.
  16. Vertical load limit vs. tongue weight limit

This is great for towing, however, irrelevant to vertical load limit for a motorcycle hitch carrier
  17. Vertical load limit vs. tongue weight limit

Not tongue weight, vertical load limit. 2 different things. It has less to do with the ability to stand on the hitch and more so if you had a 200lbs bike + rack and there and acceleration will pull the weight backwards causing even more force on the hitch. Same thing with a speed bump etc.
  18. Vertical load limit vs. tongue weight limit

All they did was copy/paste from model y owners manual. I simply want whoever at Tesla to know this is a huge question in the community and to address it. If it truly is 160lbs then just confirming would be fine.
  19. Vertical load limit vs. tongue weight limit

We need more people hitting up Wes on Twitter to get any real answers and finally put this to rest. I’m done asking. I’m getting no where.
