Why are you getting so upset while you safely sit in your metal cage? Does it truly affect you that a motorcycle passed you speeding? Are you in any danger because of this?
It’s gross how many people think bikers deserve to be hit…ya’ll need to accept there are different rules of the road for cars and bikes. To the OP, the fact you are even thinking about riders safety as you drive is all we ask for. Mistakes happen, blind spots happen, accidents happen. But what...
Honestly don’t think the question will ever be answered. Majority of owners/fans don’t get it or don’t care. Tesla has no incentive to address this. It’s only a few of us who use our trucks as trucks and who question what the manual says.
You are probably the first person out of 100 that has actually used critical thinking when I’ve asked this question, you’re giving me hope.
But that’s not a bad idea at all. Totally see what you’re saying to avoid the twisting of the hitch and stabilize the corners. I’ve also considered...
I appreciate your understanding here. The plan has always been range extender + space camper + electric dirt bike on the hitch. Now it looks like I can’t put the bike on the hitch so I could either get a trailer and waste half my range or scrap the idea completely and save $40,000 lol
It's not an error.
Cybertruck was tested using the standard 160 pound weight test for hitch mounted accessories.
It was also tested using an 11k gross, 1,100 pound tongue trailer configuration.
One could extrapolate that the trailer test implies a higher theoretical accessory capacity, but...
Now we’re on the same page lol however, there is a difference. For example, look at the Silverado
No we’re on the same page lol however, there is a difference between tongue weight and vertical load limit. Look at this tow rating from a Silverado. 1,100 tongue weight (weight distributing) and...
Not tongue weight, vertical load limit. 2 different things. It has less to do with the ability to stand on the hitch and more so if you had a 200lbs bike + rack and there and acceleration will pull the weight backwards causing even more force on the hitch. Same thing with a speed bump etc.
All they did was copy/paste from model y owners manual. I simply want whoever at Tesla to know this is a huge question in the community and to address it. If it truly is 160lbs then just confirming would be fine.
