No loaner was available when I dropped the CT off, they told me to wait around and maybe someone would return a loaner I could take but another customer was ahead of me.... so after waiting a couple of hours I left because I had work I needed to do and the Tesla lounge wasn't conducive to...
That's my sentiment as well. I have two big problems right now with Tesla.
1. We know from quality surveys that North American Tesla production and QC is poor compared to other automakers, but it is especially bad compared to the German and Chinese plants. Those factories, building the same...
I have investigated and the vehicle would need to be out of service for repair for a period of 30 days and/or four attempts to repair the same problem before state lemon would kick in to protect me.
So, guess I'm just going to have to sit around waiting for Tesla to try to fix it and hope they...
The lead tech when I was demonstrating the problem a week ago literally said that Tesla service has to fix all the problems with vehicles being sold & delivered so that target quotas on deliveries can be met.
His words as a Tesla employee, not mine.
The car also had hardened sealant oozing out...
There is audio/video recording of the problem and they have acknowledged that it is an actual issue. It's actually quite noticeable at speeds above say 30mph and gets progressively worse as speed goes up.
One of the most irritating things about this experience is that with the exception of...
The Cybertruck is the 20th car I've purchased and the 17th brand new vehicle I've purchased.
None of my vehicles have had to immediately go into service for a week after buying them.
I did not have a loaner until I raised hell with them about it after I had been car-less for days.
They disassembled a good portion of the front of the vehicle trying to find the noise and now believe they have diagnosed it to something in the powertrain.
After other experiences with Tesla...
I think that having a brand new vehicle disassembled and being unavailable to drive for approaching a week (and likely over a week before repair) potentially exceeds what would be considered normal and certainly is a lot more inconvenient than a nail in a tire.
However lemon law usually has...
Immediately upon driving away with my new CT there was a noise in it that required a service visit.
It has been in the shop now for a week.
What are my options? Just grin and bear it even if it takes Tesla a week or longer to address it? Get a "brand new" vehicle back that potentially has...
Right, nobody should buy as CT because S is a better deal.
The market is still absorbing CT demand, especially as Canadian orders have opened up.
When CT is at full production and demand drops then Tesla will further incentivize CT orders.
My auto premium skyrocketed a year ago and the broker's explanation for it was that Denver is now #1 or #2 nationally in auto theft, auto break in and vandalism.
It occurs to me that DIA does have those "only EV" parking spaces up closer to the entrances in the parking garage.... probably a...
I think Austin is just a different situation. There are massive numbers of auto thefts, vandalism and break-ins in Denver and only a tiny fraction are followed up on.
I believe in 2023 it was something like 13,000 thefts with around 1,000 arrests and fewer prosecutions.
Guess I'll make my...
Well, that might be the case. Many people purchase more automobile then they can actually afford.
On the other hand, people waste money on all sorts of frivolous things, like fancy vacations, expensive clothing, or fine dining.
I have enough money just in savings to write a check for multiple cyberbeasts. I have 20+ years of investing track record to know that if the interest rate is low enough then I will definitely be better off investing the money rather than tying up a ton of cash in a rapidly depreciating asset...
Interesting aside... when I was completing some other items for my order, the Tesla associate commented that just the previous week he had someone cancel their order immediately prior to pick up because the woman who had ordered the Tesla "couldn't take it anymore" with her family lambasting her...
Sentry mode is nothing but a deterrent. If you have someone on video vandalizing your vehicle the cops literally don't care about it unless you have something like a license plate number to give them.
Even if someone was arrested for the property damage the Denver county DA would have them out...
That is more secure, but parking a car outdoors in the wintertime and dealing with shuttle transport to/from the airport to pick up your car is awful. I always park in the garage as I am reimbursed for it.
Barring something going sideways I take delivery of my AWD CT tomorrow.
People in the Denver area really hate this truck and hate Elon Musk. They are big mad about the election I guess.
I have a business trip in a couple of weeks that will take me out of town for a few days and I already have...
