Ya my divider worked well anywhere except the third closest to the truck cab… i think it is a rail angle issue rather than uneven floor though. SC said it was the divider being defective lol
Yeah we’re probably talking about the same thing. There was no warning email about a software delay when mine was installed 3 weeks ago :) Sounds like the target date may have slipped from march to june. Lame.
Yeah, expect 4 to 6K in the Bay Area for the install. Unfortunately, for the time being, Tesla is tightly controlling hardware distribution as well so, even if you’ve got the skills to install it, you won’t be able to get a hold of the hardware anytime soon I suspect. Mine was installed a few...
Yeah, I’m not sure where they measured the height of the rails from but I agree with you that it’s probably not a defective anccessory.
It’s more likely that either the truck bed is higher in one spot than the other or the rail is slightly at a different angle on one side than the other. At...
Yup, I could totally see that the rail heights are probably close enough to consider within spec. Period. Unfortunately, when you’re using this specific accessory, there isn’t as much tolerance to be off, because of how it attaches to the rails.
Apologies for the confusion. To clarify, it’s not a width issue whatsoever. I think it’s an issue of the angle of the rail being slightly off on the passenger side versus the driver side of the bed.
As the rail approaches the cab of the truck, the slight variation in angle becomes an issue for...
So this one doesn’t stow flat (the design has pegs on the top to fit in the rails and the bottom has flat rubber wedges) - means you need to either take it out and leave at home or move it as close to the cab as possible (but then you can’t achieve a strong lock because of the issue I mentioned)
Hey all, I’ve had my CT for two weeks and picked up the Tesla brand bed divider - really awesome concept and nice hefty metal build (worth $350 still debatable, but it is cool).
Curious if anyone else who bought one noticed that it’s easy to install and align with the vault rail holes in the...
I’ve been driving a model 3 and y since 2018 - previously had an f150 fx4 and a Honda ridgeline - this is exactly what I was hoping it would feel like and expect as a tesla truck. Turning is fantastic, acceleration is insane (seriously paying an extra 20k for trimotor isn’t necessary imo)...
