Yeah, this happens to my rear passenger side door when ambient temps are below 30 degrees F. Last winter, they added foam in the door gasket, which fixed it last winter but it returned this winter. Lowering the window a smidge fixes it, but Iâll add it to my list next time I really need to go in...
Was in Vegas over the holidays and there were quite a few wrapped Cybertrucks with stainless steel cantrails. I was like, yup dude had the recall done lol
Whatâs your VIN?
Mine 52xxx and was built in November 2024, so trying to decide if I should try to get mine replaced. Itâs overheated my phone once or twice but hasnât latelyâŠI also rarely charge my iPhone on it for long periods of time.
Just watched the video and I see the correct step is to:
1. Tap on reset das
2. The do the turn signal + brake command to trigger the reset.
the way it was written made it sound like one had to do the turn signal + brake to get the âreset dashâ button to appear.
CorrectâŠbecause the âmissing slatâ IS NOT the root cause of water ingress. The video CyberGus posted shows the root cause and fix.
Tesla really needs to broadcast and make it known to owners that the missing slat is not actually âmissingâ.
FYI, when doing this, there are two options (think they are 3 letter acronyms) but I donât remember which one is the right choice (I did this back in February this past year for a different reason)âŠ.
My guess is Tesla is focusing on FSD to the point where they use FSD for smart summon and banish. I believe ASS is a separate code base from FSD (?), so why bother spending resources and effort on that when FSD will be able to achieve ASS.
You can see pieces of it in v14, like starting FSD from...
Yup...and it takes getting used to since the steering wheel inputs need to be 90% less than a regular/analog steering rack system. You'll probably be a little jerky, especially in parking lots. :)
I get a creaking sound from the front passenger seat. I donât think itâs the door latch, but can anyone confirm whoâs had this?
It only occurs when itâs cold outside (20-36 F) and when the truck is shifting weight front to back or side to side.
On the surface, itâs sounds so basic and redundant but realizing you can talk to your car like a human is a huge UX improvement.
Just wait another 1-3 years from now: legacy auto is going to announce âpartnershipsâ with OpenAI saying they can do the sameâŠbut will probably charge a recurring fee...
Honestly, I don't think it's worth the time or mental space to get this data and (potentially) get bent out of shape if the "degradation" is more than one would expect. The majority of batteries are going to be fine and your range will be fine. I say: enjoy your Tesla! :)
Sorry to hear this happened. Whatâs the scenario that caused this?
Were you backing into the garage and then MyQ triggered to close the door while you were backing up?
