Famously, Pataudi, an Indian cricketer lost an eye but he was still able to play international cricket and handle 90 mph bowling, with one eye and went to become a celebrated captain.

FSD has always had this lane selection issue. You have to watch and disengage. That is where the supervision comes from.
If it does something that is clearly wrong, you have to intervene.
Average intervention rate is something like once every 20 miles in the city. So, you should expect to take...
What does that mean "handles better" ? Need to be more precise / descriptive. In what way does Y "handle better" ?
I don't see that much difference between my 3 and the CT.
ps : EVen in earlier versions 3/Y always worked better than S/X. I think Tesla doesn't train much for the bigger vehicles...
In what way is CT different / worse than Y ?
The basic difference is that CT uses E2E for freeway as well and Y (still) doesn't.
The basic difference I see is that CT seems to take sharper turns and this closer to the curb than my 3.
Thats not the meaning of "errors".
Basically human city driving "minor accident" rate is 1 in 10,000 miles (think curb rash). That is what I'm calling as an error here.
But FSD makes errors that humans need to intervene to correct. So, we can say, if the human had not intervened, FSD could...
A human level "error rate" might be something like 1 in 10,000 miles. FSD is more like 20 miles now ... so, its about 500 times less safe than humans. Don't go by hype, look at the (crowd sourced) stats.
But I find FSD very useful as an ADAS (L2) tool Use it all the time - have been using for...
Not heard anyone else complain about it. I've not driven much on freeways - so can't say much. On city roads I don't have that problem.
Recalibrating cameras might still be a good idea ...
You can set your own max instead of auto max. I use 10% offset (so will go at 44 on a 40 street). I don't like FSD going above 70, so on rare freeways with 70 mph limit, I reduce. Otherwise the 10% works well most of the time.
"Lane centering" is an old concept. FSD now drives in the lane, not...
After reading all the comments here - I was bracing for hate ... but its been mostly positive till now, with strangers stopping by to chat about it. Location makes a big difference.
ps : Is there any solar wrap ... ? !
The best I can find is the flexible solar 130 wh panels. Each panel is...
Would also be cool to have something that covers the top and can be folded if needed when the bed is in use.
I've to check whtas the max that can be generated with current tech.
I got it yesterday too. Haven't tried it yet.
I've been on FSD Beta from the beginning.
I'll probably using the auto park a lot since I find it quite difficult to park it. I also use Model 3 autopark frequently (for reverse parking).
Let us think about it slightly differently.
The way insurance / OEMs handle this is to assign std hours for a job and a std rate. What should that be for a wrap ?
If someone asks for $3k labor charges and works for 10 hours - they are asking for $300 an hour. Is that the right rate ? There are...
Got my VIN on 11th. Still waiting - as of Friday they said CT is still in Austin. Ordered early May .... probably the one with the longest wait around (changed delivery state in between).
