  1. Can a third party take delivery of your truck for you if you are out of the country?

Well, if the owner calls and tells them (or using the app / email) that they are sending someone with POA - gives the agents name etc - then they just need to confirm the identity of the agent, right ? If after all this - Tesla doesn't want to accept POA - they are deliberately trying to...
  2. Can a third party take delivery of your truck for you if you are out of the country?

Are they specifically excluded or do you think there needs to be legislation that says a particular type of business should accept POA ? My understanding is if someone has a general POA - every person / business has to accept that person as a legal representative of the person who has given POA...
  3. CyberTruck is TERRIBLE for Costco Runs! Prove Me Wrong!

Yes, those are beasts - have two of those. Hurt my back badly lugging huge suitcases on my international trip a couple of years back. Just not worth it to risk bringing heavy items from homedepot - I'd rather pay to get delivery.
  4. Can a third party take delivery of your truck for you if you are out of the country?

Do all the celebrities take their CT in person. I doubt it. More importantly I don't understand how it is legal for Tesla to refuse POA. If someone with POA can buy million $ home in my name, why can't they get a CT ?!
  5. Are people really selling their Cybertrucks for $200k+ or is that all hype and are there ramifications?

How ? You have presented zero arguments as to why ethically scalping is good. People still waiting in the queue for an invite get angry when people in the front just flip and get unearned profit. They are viewed exactly like people who sell gas for double the price when their is some shortage...
  6. Rivian R2 Reveal w/ R3 and R3X Surprises! $45K, 0-60 >3 seconds, 300+ miles range, NACS port, 4695 batteries

R1S/T is still making big losses. You can't fix the low volume with high prices. Remember Tesla hardly ever made a profit with just S & X. When you spend a Billion tooling up for 250k a year but use < 10% of capacity you just can't make a profit. Need to increase volume.
  7. CyberTruck is TERRIBLE for Costco Runs! Prove Me Wrong!

Don't worry. We are the majority - 75% of CT owners are first time truck buyers. I'll use CT exactly like I use my 3 - to schauffer around kids and light shopping. Last time I went to home depot I bought an item that just went in my pant pocket. Don't need a CT for that ;) ps : As an aside -...
  8. CyberTruck is TERRIBLE for Costco Runs! Prove Me Wrong!

Well, with a good trebuchet you don't need a CT either ;)
  9. CyberTruck is TERRIBLE for Costco Runs! Prove Me Wrong!

I always have some Costco boxes in the trunk. I put all my shopping items in those (including ones from other shops). I also have a few bags for frozen items. I don't remember the last time I got/bought a bag from a grocery store ...
  10. CyberTruck is TERRIBLE for Costco Runs! Prove Me Wrong!

Hmmm .... not exactly BS. The rule has had a major positive impact in terms of wasteful plastic bag usage. Infact surprised MA doesn't have these basic common-sense rules ;)
  11. Are people really selling their Cybertrucks for $200k+ or is that all hype and are there ramifications?

I think you should quite being condescending. The scalpers are just trying to make a quick buck. If they were "hurt" - may be don't buy a $100k truck.
  12. Rivian R2 Reveal w/ R3 and R3X Surprises! $45K, 0-60 >3 seconds, 300+ miles range, NACS port, 4695 batteries

Economy of scale is like a high school thing. BTW, the main benefit of larger production is in spreading out fixed costs. The question is regarding the "losing money" part - how does the author "know" it is $17k ? That is extremely difficult to calculate unless you know the cost accounting of...
  13. Rivian R2 Reveal w/ R3 and R3X Surprises! $45K, 0-60 >3 seconds, 300+ miles range, NACS port, 4695 batteries

You may not have made it up - but the guy writing the article sure did ;)
  14. Got my e-mail to order my CT.

Do you still have the option to order ? I'm wondering how long will they keep my option to order open. My current options are - Order now, ask for a delay "hold", which the Tesla rep claimed they won't do - Wait for a couple of months before ordering so that I get CT after July
  15. Order FS now vs. wait for NON FS?

At the beginning of a rollout it always looks as if there is a *very* long queue which will remain for years to come. The truth is queues quickly dissipate and vehicles become available easily. Model 3 had such a looong queue and wasn't 80k. But in 4 quarters you could get one in a month. I...
  16. VINs Pending Delivery Chart & National Map 🗺️

Wondering whether they are waiting for warmer weather - they don't want bad range reports out of north in winter .... ? ps : I should note our weather in Seattle this month is a mirror of Jan ;)
  17. VINs Pending Delivery Chart & National Map 🗺️

Wait - are you saying the ramp up will be as quick as Model 3 ? About 150k in first 4 quarters.
  18. Production rate theory

They won't be adding a second shift unless supply chain is ready.
