Understand it has to be a 200A sub panel, not just a 200A panel. Hoping that’s not the case. I have a 200A panel and 60A sub panel, and I don’t know if that will be enough. Hopefully.
This is a USB-C to cigarette lighter port that I’m considering to hook up a tow camera. Should work, right?

As written, I agree with you. But, I do understand why some are frustrated because they intended to tow. With so little information out about towing right now, there’s certainly an anxiety about how it will perform for campers, but it appears pessimistic.
I’ve configured mine and excited...
It seems BKF really did a good job removing the patina and restoring to the original bright SS. Will be interesting to see if drive through car wash coupled with Windex afterwards for fingerprint removal will work as a routine cleaning system. BKF regularly seems like a lot of time/effort.
I clarified that I was referring to 800-1000 miles at a time every week, not 800-1000 over the course of a week. Over the course of a week, agreed that it’s still a no-brainer at least for me.
Not challenging the results because I haven’t seen the video and there’s just an overall lack of significant information so far. But…. Based on this, is towing 11k highly non-aerodynamic setup in freezing temps basically no different than towing a 6k pound more aerodynamic trailer in 60 degree...
Sorry. I get the point of full tanks. Someone earlier was shocked that he’d have two full tanks. I don’t think that’s necessarily a problem if it’s fresh and black, or fresh and grey, or for that matter black and grey.
Off topic now. Anyway….
Awesome congrats!
let me know if you want to test tow a camper. Have an airstream I’m willing to hook up to test range. I’m in Dallas and waiting for a VIN.
This is the part that is almost always forgotten. The number of people who tow full time and drive more than 100 miles (assuming for argument sake that’s the number) is few and far between…
It’s a whole lot of echo chamber stuff. I don’t think an EV is perfect for everyone. But pulling a hummer on a flatbed in near freezing temperatures… interesting exercise, but so is seeing how far your EV can drive going 2-3 miles an hour. What’s the point?
Sorry, I meant an 800-1000 mile drive (not spread over a week). 800-1000 miles at a time is doable in my Model 3, but it does add to the time. Week in, week out, it might wear me out because that’s a lot of supercharger time. But, having to deal with that inconvenience a few times a year… who...
