Still thinking first trucks will be $100k...dual still in the $75K range. And like he said it will take at least 18 month to get to full run rate. But still might not make money at that point. Ppl need to realize a model s plaid is $90k and that car doesn't even have that many bells and whistles...
My guess for these "newer" cars that are covered... they will be the new model 3 and new model y for testing crash worthiness...they are only covering cars they don't want us to see and they can't leave them inside to save space. There are plenty of regular model y's and 3's...but why cover a...
Yes but I think they did rush the overall design phase to get this released or there is some tolerance issue with some components under the hood. I have not really seen a release candidate with a hood that's flush. I'm sure when they design everything and go through tooling, sometimes the puzzle...
I definitely think a 6 seat option will available eventually....why not make money on that option for those who want it...why give it for free. Just saying...
Woo! Looks definitely like a power frunk open and close. As he pulls down on it slightly to get the motor to activate the downward motion...works just like my model y trunk. ?
I'm sure these trucks are given out to certain employees to be used as a truck should be, then evaluated by them on how they perform or and issues that may come up.
I'm still thinking these babies will be in showrooms across the county on unveil day for ppl to get to see in person. Buying an almost 19ft truck is not for everyone and having something in front of you would easily make up your mind I think. The og prototype was massive when I saw it in person.
Here's hoping for some outlets in the frunk. Perfect for charging batteries and what not. But I'm think he left them out to save on some cost and would add them in the 2nd or 3rd model year units.
Looks like the rear window will not roll down because it has the heating elements on them....unless they do it like the 4runner. Prob not tho I'm thinking.
There are definitely ppl on here thinking Tesla owes them something for waiting. No one made them wait or want their products. People will get their trucks eventually, not sure what the big deal is. It's a truck at the end of the day nothing more.
video to the rear will be on the screen as it is now in all their other cars probably.
Provided an example of my car for those that do not own a Tesla yet.
Sounds to me he is talking to everyone as a whole..but at the end of the day it's the body panel ppl who's job is to manage them gaps. When he said hard to build he prob means this. I need a Tshirt that says:
< 10 MICRONS
?
My best guess is that Elon needs to drive up demand IRL. He needs to show potential buyers the actual truck in the flesh. So my thinking he is sending these to the most popular dealerships before the the unveil so ppl can see touch and sit in it b4 they start deliveries. A truck like this isn't...
