Mine is in for this issue right now. I'm really hoping I don't have to fight them to get it fixed like some of you guys. It's not normal, not every truck does it, and other teslas also do not do it. But, as of 10/4, there's a rear motor TSB. My super sophisticated vibration sensors (my feet)...
I have exactly that. On the highway above 70, with ~20% power (meaning, going up a slight incline at a fixed speed), there's a constant vibration. And I'm really certain it's the same issue. something about the motor phasing or maybe the way some splines are seated together, but it's...
The position of the camera is only the 2nd worst part about it. the worst part is that the image is not different than what's shown on the screen. The field of view should be significantly narrower to justify installing an LCD mirror. Things directly behind you should be much bigger, like...
I have some of these issues as well.
-Middle console creak happened at the rear at first, they fixed it, and now it happens at the front.
-Driver's seat creak from rubbing the console. Mine was on both sides, even when nobody was in the passenger seat. I caved and got some felt tape and...
No. And not only can you not turn it off, you can't even set the truck into "roll" mode like the other cars have. You are required to use "hold" mode. It's one of the few things I absolutely hate about the truck. Whether you can "get used to it" or not, it's always less safe to have to keep...
They don't care. In their mind, it's more efficient to take the ones they have and put them on new orders so that the number of covers they have to ship stays the same. If they do it the other way, they have to ship covers to us now, and then ship covers to the newer owners later
It looks like the image on the mirror is the same field of view as the rear image on the main screen. Is this the case? It should be about 50 degrees FoV to be a viable replacement for a real mirror. If it's the same 120FoV as the backup camera, there's no real point to putting this in.
For me, the glovebox doesn't work right anymore. There are now 3 states of the glovebox button.
Push to open
Push to close
Hold to close
The hold to close state is in between push to close and push to open. there's nothing blocking the glovebox, and it functions fine. but that extra hold...
I got the warning with the parking brake, not just with park.
It seemed like maybe I had a separate option to apply the trailer brake manually, but it was a quick launch so I didn't explore that much
yeah, there is a semantic issue in the manual. this post seems to explain it.
https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/p-mode-vs-park-mode.292373/
Independent clamping systems and different clamping forces.
As referenced later in the thread, there's a separate thread calling out higher...
there is a 0% chance that the car already has the parking brake on, and then releases and clamps back down when you manually engage the parking brake. That's nonsense
and yet, there's mechanical noise when the actual parking brake is put on manually, so something additional clamps when the actual parking brake is set.
That's why the parking brake symbol does not appear when you put it in park.
I wouldn't listen to woodrick. He will assert things that make no sense in order to make tesla look better. He has no reason to believe that the parking brake (which is distinct from putting it in park) comes on automatically. He's just saying that to minimize your concern, as he does 100% of...
that button will show the front camera until you swipe on the screen to change to rear, and it will not come on above 10mph. Pressing that button above 10mph only turns off the rear view image but does not bring up the big camera display.
I have this. Took a bit for me to isolate what was happening. I'd say from 48 down to 35mph, at ~15-20% regen, I have this slight vibration. It comes and goes depending on terrain and how long I've been driving, but it's never totally gone.
I'm not sure why this is surprising to anyone. They said they expect to start taking non foundation orders some time in Q3. So logically, they would still be delivering FS orders taken before that before the non-FS orders start being delivered. So if they take the last FS orders on 9/25 and...
You guys all have to understand that this is what Woodrick does. He comes into every post with valid complaints and expresses how tesla cannot ever make a bad decision, and anyone who wishes a feature existed or something worked differently should not have bought the truck or any vehicle from...
Well this would be a really big deal. We have no actual evidence one way or the other (hearing a truck skidding doesn't say anything about the input). But everyone has been parroting for 4 months now that touching the brakes at all cuts power to the accelerator. If that's not true, then a...
