Yeah, has Tesla stopped inviting. For FS? I see very few orders for invites in February and nothing after February 1. Maybe today or tomorrow a new group?

TESLA Rep revealed that the very first batch of CT (for early customer delivery) is scheduled to arrive into New Jersey in late February. However, the rep did not reveal the exact date or the exact number of CT. Simply, first truckload of CT will be in NJ by late February.


Full story:
I received an invite of CT (under reservation # 11275xxx) and placed my order in mid-December 2023. I held hour#1 reservation. I then submitted a trade-in inquiry for a Model Y in the New Jersey area in late January 2024. Tesla rep called and followed up with me, and I took the opportunity to ask her a few questions regarding the CT since she noticed I have one ordered in my account.

Here is the recap:

1) The rep cautioned me that don’t put too much hope on Q1 delivery;

2) I then asked her nicely that can I get my deposit ($1000) back as I was under the impression that Q1 delivery was advertised at time of order submission. The Tesla rep acknowledged the very likely delay on delivery to the NJ / North Eastern region of the U.S., and said if no delivery confirmation by 4/1, she can help me to submit a special request to corporate for a refund, however, it will be a "super case by case" and it will be strictly handled by the main office.

3) In addition, she would not know what happen to the reservation/ slot, no guarantee that they can put me back in the queue for non-FS CT offer in the future.

4) She politely asked me to remain supportive, as she is seeing first delivery in NJ (at least for the first batch of CT) in late February.

Will see what happens next.

That is interesting. I am also in NJ. Ordered on 1/23. RN 112853… I am surprised the rep told you not to hope for Q1, but also mentioned first batch to NJ in late February. With your RN and order dates, I would imagine you would be one of the first in NJ.

I do not understand this thinking at all. You were one of the first to reserve a Cybertruck in 11/2019 and so you have been waiting for this vehicle for over 4 years, and you are going to bail over a 1-month delay? I mean, I am all in favor of your bailing, but I don't understand why at all.

For me, I wish Tesla was more transparent about our status in line for delivery. Tesla has a list of people waiting for the CT and should give you a better timeframe for delivery or build date even if it's an estimate in the app. The date you reserve your CT is only good for the date you can configure the CT. I received my email to configure on 12/8 but didn't order until 12/21. I guess I am behind everyone who order before 12/21, so I don't have a clue of when I'll be issued a VIN. I do know that invites going out around 12/21 still said a delivery window of Jan-Mar. The frustration will start when people don't get their CT by the end of March. Well, I guess we are better off than the people waiting for the Roadster. I always try to have a plan b, but it's tough with the CT.

I am not bailing. I was just responding that it’s strange. I can’t wait for mine, and I’m not complaining at all. I get it. It’s a brand new product with brand new manufacturing techniques and brand new build materials. I’d rather mine be right, than have it earlier.

I keep checking this thread to see if they are going in to later RN numbers territory, but recently it seems like Tesla has slowed down/stopped around RN11285XXX and I'm wondering why. Are they now going back to the beginning of the line and "filling in the gaps?" Or is there some kind of holdup/pause?

It appears the invites on the 31st went back to the begining. There weren’t very many and there have been no more since.

12/8 and 12/9 was for CA/TX orders only. Tesla only opened the configure to other states started 2nd wave no matter how early your initial RN were.

I hear ya. Im in the exact same boat as you. There are over 500 orders before 12/21 and only 54 delivered all based on the lists on this forum/group updated yesterday. So that being said, we have a long wait for sure and that March 2024 delivery is impossible to fill. Im guessing late 2024 and possibly 2025 for our deliveries.

Based on the trade-in offers, it is clear Tesla’s company store priority is to sell NEW Teslas, not used Teslas. That makes perfect sense for a company wanting to maximize new car sales. I think traditional dealerships consider the used car business, service and repairs a much more profitable sector of their profits.

I hear ya. Im in the exact same boat as you. There are over 500 orders before 12/21 and only 54 delivered all based on the lists on this forum/group updated yesterday. So that being said, we have a long wait for sure and that March 2024 delivery is impossible to fill. Im guessing late 2024 and possibly 2025 for our deliveries.

From the VIN number, roughly there are about 1400 already being made and delivered. But on this forum, only 58 delivery being recorded, so roughly the size of onwer here roughly only 4.14% of all current owners. Use this number to divied by the total orders being recorded here,1184,we got roughly total current total order number 28,600 FSCT so far. How soon will tesls fulfill these 28,6000 FSCT, we don't know. Not very promising for what we observed for past 2 month.
