The price absolutely has to come down and I think that it will, but Tesla has become expert at extracting the max price for their products from the market.smart move, even Elon stated, new things aren't right until the 3rd version. I was 330,000 in line, picking up mine tomorrow... If i didn't need another set of wheels for the house, I'd wait til the price drops... Which it will due to the high cost.. Ten's of thousands aren't buying now...
i've had my FS beast for about a month. Im vin 36,1xx so im guessing 40-50k of the FS to be produced...The number I posted was based on sales from January to September 2024 and not speculation it’s a fact a simple google search will prove . I personally believe there is only 30k and have heard a few say 30k is the number but we shall see
Tesla is in a great position. FSD is the Hail Mary that'll be game changing if it comes to fruition and most people are focused on that but there's a lot of tech like SBW from CT that can trickle down to their other popular models that'll further differentiate them from competitors. SBW has an Apple-like aura to it where it needs to experienced to truly understand and there's no going back once you do.got a test drive yesterday and it all boils down to Steer-by-wire for me. This is a game-changer. Took a few turns to adapt bc it's more sensitive. Going back to my Lexus was not fun. I hope Tesla will convert all the models to this. I will not buy another Tesla without it. For those reasons, I will get the CyberTruck now.
I had to rent a Ford Expedition yesterday. It has 10 freakin speeds and the steering wheel took about that many revolutions just to turn out from the parking stall. Doing the spiral ramp out of the parking garage took much more compensation than the first 30 seconds of CT driving.got a test drive yesterday and it all boils down to Steer-by-wire for me. VIN# does not equal total CTs sold. We have proof of this through recalls. There were around 28k FS CTs sold and the vins went into the mid 30k range.i've had my FS beast for about a month. Im vin 36,1xx so im guessing 40-50k of the FS to be produced...
Recall numbers are saleable vehicles manufactured, not necessarily sold.VIN# does not equal total CTs sold. We have proof of this through recalls. There were around 28k FS CTs sold and the vins went into the mid 30k range.
Right. So when each of the first 2 recalls are 6-7k under the vins being delivered, we know that the VINs don't match up.Recall numbers are saleable vehicles manufactured, not necessarily sold.
Right, I totally agree Tesla did not use all the VINs. Just clarifying that the recall doesn't indicate the number sold (other than as an upper bound with zero inventory).Right. So when each of the first 2 recalls are 6-7k under the vins being delivered, we know that the VINs don't match up.
Just basing this off both logic and what people have reported. Every single VIN that’s been assigned in the 3 instances that I have seen (I don’t live on this forum) have Al paid cash. It's not different for Tesla if you are paying for cash or have a loan secured. There have been rumors for years that Tesla prefers either one, some saying financing through Tesla, others cash. The reality is that some SC are faster than others and some deliveries are faster, while others need to be held at regional points.
They typically ship in groups, so if 4 other people at your SC have a CT coming, you'll get it quicker.
Me. Vin to delivery in 5 days.Just basing this off both logic and what people have reported. Every single VIN that’s been assigned in the 3 instances that I have seen (I don’t live on this forum) have Al paid cash.
Thats a very small sample size, and I’m only sharing my hunch. But seems cash sales have taken priority to me, whatever the reason may be.
Day one res holder, ordered 10/4, AWD and requesting trade in offer which I have not received yet. Am financing with decent down payment.
Has anyone who’s received a VIN mentioned financing?
Awe sweet, congrats! Glad to hear that!Me. Vin to delivery in 5 days.
I've purchased 4 Teslas all through financing.
Tesla only cares that the funds are secured, historically.
