Exactly. We are repeatedly being f$&ked.
I don’t mean to sound bitter. I’m happy everyone is going to get to try FSD because it’s truly amazing.
I’m just still salty about them offering free supercharging months after I bought my truck and still not providing support for PowerShare with my powerwall 3 system.
I’ve spent more money with Tesla than most and feel like I’m always at the back of the line.

I got the same email (was already subscribed for $99). Clicked through the link and got the 1 year trial. Checked my Tesla app and the paid subscription was gone and the trial appears to have started. This is AWESOME! I was gonna keep paying for it anyway but just saved $1200 over the next 12 months (enough for another nice AR and some ammo )

Got it! I bought the truck at the end of March. As if now, I'm glad I didn't buy FSD like I originally planned.

Serious Question: If, by our activation, they can get data to make FSD better, does that only work if we actually use FSD? I LOVE the Autopark feature, when I had the 1 month free trial. I really don't trust FSD. So I'd rater not use it. But is there other metrics Tesla can glean from just everyday driving?

Why don't you trust FSD? Just stay aware and be ready to take action. I've been using it for the past 2 years (first on my 2020 MYP and now with my CT AWD) and it has gotten to be really good. Used it on a 300 mile road trip and only had to touch controls when I stopped to charge. I use it about 70% of the time in city driving as well (seriously less stress in heavy traffic with using FSD). Give it a go, embrace the future

These are the soul defining qualities of early adapters for any company - most loyal suckers that willingly give their money away (not a diss, I'm in that group)

I’ve been fine with the incentives, lower prices, etc. I got to enjoy my truck for a full year longer and life is short

I understand some frustration from the earlier adoptees, but this kind of thing happens all the time. I have many times bought something only to have some incentive offered right afterwards that I don’t qualify for. It is what it is.

We all deal with it one way or another, I like the 2 above. I also understand that I took the deal voluntarily. There are always others that able to get a better deal - good for them, enjoy.

I take my appreciation on the market in $TSLA performance

On the topic, Tesla must need something by offering this. I dont think it's video/data as that can always be collected by shadowing (I think), must be something else. Disengagements?

I wish Autosteer was coming but looks like no...I feel like that is at least a must have

I just received my free 1 year subscription to FSD for my 2025 non-FS Cyberbeast, even though I already have a FSD subscription. The email offer states that I'll need to have a current subscription 1st before I can qualify for the 1 year free FSD offer. And all I have to do is to accept the free offer, then cancel my current FSD subscription, and I am good to go.
I'll have free FSD now until June 2026, then I'll be automatically enrolled into the monthly subscription whichI can cancel anytime (but why would I?! I love FSD and definitely will continue).

That was pleasant! I also noticed they state that after the free year, FSD will charge $99/ month. This implies that there is not a plan to suddenly hike the price (which I did fear) any time soon. I’ve been paying for it monthly anyways.

I’m sure someone else has already said this. This is just to get more data. This is going to benefit all of us as this data will be used to train or tune FSD for cybertrucks. Great move on Tesla’s part. I’m thankful they’re taking this step.

I literally just did that. Signed up for the promo... went into the app and immediately cancelled within a minute. FSD subscription active till May 7 2026.

Got the same. Did the subscribe and immediately cancelled so assume you basically have to pay for a month? Says “In order to qualify for the 1-year trial, you will need to subscribe to Full Self-Driving (Supervised) by June 6, 2025, using the link below. You can cancel your subscription at any time, and you will still receive the 1-year trial.”
