Anyway, the rear display does NOT really do a good job of conveying the intensity of flashing lights and thus, they do not grab your attention well. The windows block sound really well. Like, really well.

Anyway, Just thought I'd point this out as an area where FSD could help... detecting flashing lights behind you would be nice.
Fully agree. I think it would take me way longer to notice a car with flashing lights behind me when I'm in the CT than in a car with a conventional rear view mirror. Even without FSD, the truck is paying attention to what is around it. I bet they could detect the flashing lights behind you easy enough and flash a hard-to-miss banner on the display or something.

Hey Tesla! If you're listening, this would be helpful!

Wow... PA needs an inspection of an EV? What are they testing for? Emissions from a battery or that it gives the right amount of electricity to the motors? Thats insane! It sounds like a governmental money run to make it fair to ICE owners.
LOL yea good ole PA inspection for a brand spanking new Cyberbeast. Today when the guy was putting the sticker on the lower inside of the windshield, he had a heck of a time reaching that far down. I told them please try to get it as far down as possible because even though the windshield looks massive, when sitting in the driver seat that area with any sticker would somewhat block some view of the roadway near the wiper motor base.

Needless to say because of the contorted stretching the younger guy did to get it near that area, it went on at a slant but part is hidden behind the wiper blade and it is what it is. But I would rather it not be there and feel its ridiculous for a first year brand new vehicle to require inspection when they have to pass one at factory outbound during final testing. PA should at least allow into the next year at minimum before needing inspection.

He even asked when he got into the truck like how many miles do you have on this thing.. saw only 542 miles and rolled his eyes and made a motion of lick it and stick it - but still wanted to test everything either way.
lol he was half afraid to even drive it into the garage bay as he’d never seen nor driven one before.. the whole time he pulled a way he was like oh man I’m not liking this ohhh man.. which didn’t give me much confidence. I did have to tell them quite a few things as they all shared peeks in the garage bays, again not being familiar with Cybertrucks, the steering, not having linkage, turn signals on wheel, not sure where to turn headlights on etc. what a fiasco but fun at the same time lol.
Here’s the kicker.. I had 5 other Teslas inspected there and never had issues with them not being aware, perhaps the Cybertruck is just too new still.

I am not too thrilled yet with FSD. It just keeps taking turns too tightly. I have not been using it a ton (about 50 miles or so) because I almost always have interventions with it. Mostly left turns taken too tight. I have had one time where it almost caught the front corner of a car waiting at a light - I last second grabbed the wheel and steered away. 3 other times I would have hit a curb had I not intervened (pretty embarrassing to have to do this in front of other cars and people).. On one occasion it took a right turn too tight and I let it go because it was very close and wanted to see if it could handle it. The truck only rubbed the tire on the curb so no biggie. But it was totally unnecessary, I was alone and was a normal road (not a tight turn or intersection).

I will continue to use it and try it and report issues. I am glad others are having a lot more success with it. I plan to use it a lot on a long road trip to Florida this winter. Hopefully it is good for me on highways, to give me some (supervised) breaks along the way.
Can’t disagree. I’ve driven almost 2800 miles in a month. Several highways trips. FSD is relaxing on the highway and oddly I’m very engaged. Left turns especially two left turn lanes at a traffic light remain a mess. Cutting off the other lane and trying to switch lanes mid intersection.

I am still having issues hugging the right line there are times when it comes to in a very abrupt stop at a stop line does not pull up to see the traffic and almost pulls out into traffic so It still needs a lot of work. Almost went through another red light today.

Drove 180 miles on new update.

It got worst on left turns. 3 interventions, twice almost hitting the car one lady got scared shitless with mouth and eyes wide open.

Previously, it only clip the island, same island and it jumped over it. I already smashed my mud flap in previous incidents.

Still hugging the left side of the lane with tires on top of the solid yellow line, this time longer in the rumble strips and too close for comfort on the median concrete barrier.

Still not slowing on sharp curve, crossing the broken white line and encroaching into the other lane.

Pro - good lane preparatiin exiting and entering the freeways - except, again, in right angle left turn.

Apparently my email to [email protected] reporting these were not picked up nor corrected. ?

Don't think FSD really updated, just other stuff. 12.5.6 should be in a future update. Hope could improve CT behavior some but who knows. Prob will take a while into next year.

Overall I just see FSD as a helper sometimes on more straight freeway usage.

True, handles straightaway freeways and highways well. Better lane keeping than me where I tend to veer right.

I can't understand though why it's happening. The screen shows and it is supposed to be seeing those solid lines and yet it keeps on straddling and crossing it to cut corners and place thr tires over it.

Then on one hand it is actually good in keeping itself exactly between it, well most of the time except on those left turn, sharp curve and overtaking.

When you disengage FSD, the microphone notification pops up. Press the microphone button on the steering wheel and tell it why you disengaged. When finished, press the button again and POOF! report is sent.
Remember….if you see something, say something

We went for an 800+ mile trip (will find out exact miles later) through upstate NY, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
Lane travel - Driving in the middle lane, it drives in the middle of the lane. In the right lane, it hugs the right line, and is even straddling it and almost into the rumble strips. If I put pressure on the wheel to bring it back, it does allow me to do so without canceling FSD. But that is not FSD. It takes quite a bit of force to hold it in the center of the lane.
Stop signs-It stops at the stop line even though it cannot see past any obstructions at the intersection, such as fences, signs, bushes and such, it will pull out. It should pull closer to the intersection to see if it is clear but it does not. Many times, it would stop, then try to pull out and i saw a vehicle coming and hit the brakes. Very bad.
RED lights. Twice on this trip, FSD would have run a solid red light. By solid, I mean it was red long before I got the the intersection, over 500 ft.
Lane changes - A few times, it decided to change lanes and did so a little too close to another vehicle. I hit the gas to leave some space but it chose to change lanes in front of another vehicle way too closely.
But there were many miles of uninterrupted excellent driving.
Got back at midnight after an 18 hour driving day and the FSD helped make it home with out feeling drowsy. I would give it an 6.5 out of 10.

Loving FSD.... with the exception of the very sloppy left turns. Only about half the time does it get it right. Had to disengage a few times when it started turning into incoming traffic.

With hitting the islands (lost mud flaps) and 2 near collisions on sharp turn lefts, I now disengage FSD on these maneuvers.

Reported these both on voice command and email to [email protected] before the latest update and it was not corrected. ?

Hopefully the left turn issue will be remedied soon. I have been reporting these incidents, as well. ?‍♂
