Well it appears my inventory AWD june build date is gonna be one of the lousy ones that has problems right out of the gate.

The Good:

It looks badass

FSD wow

Luxury smooth ride easily the most comfortable ride of any vehicle ive ever been in. Everyone also seems to agree the seats are comfortable.

 Fast AF!

Convenience of having it at the perfect temperature every morning just walking up and getting on the road, then just staying on the road never going to gas stations.

Voice control for basic commands and grok is extremely accurate.

There is so much to like, it has won over all the haters in my family who called it an ugly tuna can. However, due to the bad they still have an attitude of I told you so.

THE BAD:

I dont think there is one panel accurately aligned on the entire vehicle.

And nearly every drive eventually ends in a red screaming screen for the two errors ive attached photos of….

FRUNK OPEN even though its not open

AUTOMATIC VEHICLE HOLD DISABLED

THE UGLY:

My mom tried to open the door incorrectly and nearly got her fingers sliced off in the gap between the front and rear door when the rear passenger closed the door.

Despite pointing out some of the alignment flaws and Frunk issue on delivery day(sept 28), i was told just upload the issues in the app for service within 7 days and or 100 miles and they will take care of it all and give me a loaner. But the first appointment available was like a month later(oct 24) and only yesterday after complaining to a sales rep that cared ( after about 6 that did not) i got it bumped up to tomorrow but they’ve told me a loaner is not available but i could get lucky if i arrive early. I find it really disappointing that they would sell me a vehicle that is nearly undrivable and be so dismissive of trying to get it taken care of.

O and where the heck is my tron update lol.

Really appreciate all the feedback from this community!

That sucks man, hope you get things resolved. Give them hell till you do.

Hope your mom is doing better too. You have to teach people how to open the doors for sure the first time.

First, you should have never accepted delivery of that vehicle. Alignment are known Tesla issues and they are not relegated to just the CT. Some stuff is acceptible and yes opening a service ticket is fine. Out of the gate that truck had too many alignment issues IMO.

As far the errors, I have never seen those but considering SW is the crucial component to EV's, they should be able to fix those for you no problem.

The door situation and your mother's accident, ouch! I don't think there is anything that can be done there other than informing individuals how to open/close the doors. Wishing her a speedy recovery.

Not long after taking delivery last August, I thought I would grab the indoor handle with my left hand and jerk the door shut and pull my hand back fast, nope! The inside of my left wrist hit the inside pillar and I thought I broke my damn wrist. I have a scar to this day...yep..that's steel! haha!

So they fixed most of the issues but the frunk keeps saying its open even when its not and throwing errors. They towed it back to service center and dropped off a foundation series awd loaner.

Fun

My father-in-law went to ER for this exact situation. I'm still blown away folks ignore this.

The situation: If someone is sticking their finger out to press the "door open" button for the front door at the exact same time someone is entering in the back door, you risk amputating your finger.

I have a strict rule that people enter in the back enter first and then the folks in the front enter anytime I have new riders with me. Two near misses and one ER trip has made me pretty paranoid. Major design flow to put "open" button immediately next to a finger guillotine.

What's worse is that young kids have to reach up to press that button and if the back door is open, they are always in the guillotine gap.

(Fanboiz will say this is an issue with regular cars. It's because they can't visualize the problem. I've never seen a door handle require you to stick your finger right next to a door gap that closes from behind.)

I now instruct everyone when approaching the vehicle to pretend cybertruck is pointing a gun at you and keep your hands up.

While you had the CT before sending it to service did you check for water leaks between tonneau and top appliqué? Might add to your list for them to check (water test It). There are some good threads on the hazards experienced by early users handling the metal. Anytime I am detaling or working on the truck I use gloves. You will get everthing sorted. Congrats.

Welp after a week in service and replacement of the frunk latch and actuator it now opens and closes properly but is still throwing this error at highway speeds despite the frunk being closed.

really frustrating
