I purchased my 2024 AWD in December. Long time 4Runner guy but just couldn't get behind Toyota's redesign. Had been wanting an electric vehicle for a while.

Was pretty much sold immediately during the test drive. The room was incredible - head, shoulder, and leg. The truck is just neat all around. Quicker than anything else. Love the turning radius. FSD seemed impressive too.

Now that I've owned it for 6 months, here's my summary for those thinking about buying:

Overall, I have no significant complaints about the Cybertruck. All gripes are minor. I had some creaking in the driver seat that was fixed by simply moving the seat forward a bit. Had a slightly loose trim piece on the tailgate that Tesla fixed for no charge. My driving is mostly in-town, highway and back roads. It is perfect for this.

FSD is really impressive. It likes to keep you on your toes sometimes by hugging the left side of a lane or the curb on the inside of any turn, but no major issues. Overall the technology is incredible. Still needs supervision though.

The over-the-air updates are nice although I worry that we are entering the "tinker" phase of software update pushes. You know, that's when the updates contain unnecessary fluff like door position animations, baby left alone alert, and new wraps (it's like a new skin or dance on Fortnite). I hope the Tesla team remains focused on the important stuff, not the bullshit.

The Cybertruck is easy to clean and even easier to maintain. So far, this is the best vehicle I've owned.

You can nudge the wheel a little to bring it over to the right without disengagement. I will say I did a camera re-calibration after installing a Hansshow rear view mirror and have not had the pull left in a few months for what it's worth. Thats even on 2 lane narrow roads in the woods.
I do wish it would stay in the carpool lane :D

I've also had my AWD for 6 months (took delivery on Dec. 10, 2024). Overall, it's just a fantastic vehicle. FSD is great (had it on my 2020 Y and we have it on our 2024 Model 3).

Regarding your comment about software updates reaching the 'tinker phase', I disagree. It may seem like that but I think it's because Tesla's engineering team is 98% focused on all things to support the robotaxi / cybercab. I've owned a Tesla since 2020 and the updates each year are really nice and do include useful features or quality of life improvements.

Now, the only minor gripe I have is: since the Cybertruck is still very new (and there aren't thousands of owners in each region), the service centers don't always fix things correctly the first time. My experience has been:
1. Wiper motor: it's shocking how they messed this up...twice. And, after it was replaced a 2nd time, I sometimes hear a faint wind whistle on the highway. Have never heard that before. So, will need to ask them about that.
2. Adding extra slat to the tonneau cover: my service center did this perfectly! I've read the service manual for how to do this (and how to replace the wiper motor) and the tonneau slat is a much more involved level of effort.
