Update…Friday Tesla advised rear drive unit needed replacement requiring vehicle to be towed to the T service center in Charlotte NC about 3.5 hr drive from my home. My experience with everyone involved at two service centers and roadside assistance was outstanding!!! 5 star service! Car was towed yesterday and repaired the same day! pPicked it up today and enjoyed the drive home. Final repair….”
Technician Notes:
Technician inspected the vehicle and verified the power reduced alert and red steering wheel warning occurred while driving during given timestamps. The issue was caused by a communication problem with the steering column control module. Technician performed diagnosis on the low voltage distribution and controllers then replaced the steering column control module. Technician completed the repair and verified the alerts are resolved with a test drive."
