Cybertruck - 1 Deer - 0; Deer strike at 60 MPH (Video Added & Graphic Image)

Struck a deer last night in rural WI coming home (ironically) from turkey hunting. Deer dashed out of wooded area adjacent to road at dusk - I didn't even see it before I hit it on front driverside corner.

I'm a hunter, so thought I'd keep the deer. Nope, not happening. The truck basically cut the deer in half and it exploded.

Now I get to experience the insurance/repair process. Yeah for me!

Oh, man! And you don’t even get the benefit of keeping the meat! At least it was a merciful death. Do you have Tesla insurance? Hopefully the insurance process and repairs are as painless as possible.

Progressive insurance. Waiting on contact from the adjuster; but I've already made an appointment with the Tesla collision center near me. Can't get in until May 6th. Truck is drivable, but when I make a sharp right turn, tire rubs the plastic that was shoved backwards into the wheel well.

Thats about 3 months of repairs and 10-12k in damage... Not to mention the depreciation hit it will take with an accident report on Carfax. Sorry this happened to you. I hit a deer with my foundation series last July.

It was only $3k in repairs for me on my Foundation and was repaired in only six days by Tesla. Had to replace front of frunk panel, bumper and side panel over wheel. Crazy how little damage my truck had going 60MPH into the deer. Deer was obliterated as well. I wish I had the foresight to save the video.

I'll see if I can find the video - never had to do that before. I also have the Hansshow front/rear cameras (rear view mirror), so there may be footage there. Here is the deer.

For those above, did any of those crashes were with FSD active? I am wondering if FSD would see the deer before our eyes?

Just about the same happened to me. Cost insurance $15k to repair and two weeks to get the truck back. Damage looks just about exactly the same as mine but my hit was mostly on the right front. Had to replace the hood assembly, Light Bar, bumper, front quarter panel and some of the structural components. The hood assembly and light bar alone were approx $2,500. My insurance is USAA.

Let me put up some estimate pictures from mine. I was about 55.
Deer hit about ~55mph.
Headlight replacement, as service was still months out.
Double sided tape to hold panels on while waiting for repair.

DOH, yeah looks about like my event just deer came from the other side and I had a chance to start breaking. BTW autopilot never saw it.
