This guy built a Cybertruck out of wood, and the crazy part is… it actually looks good. Not just a backyard project either it legit has the shape, the angles, the whole vibe. Kind a wild seeing Tesla’s sharp edges done in plywood .

Hate to be a downer but is this thing street legal? Aren't there some patent problems here?

That’s an insane amount of effort, kudos to that guy. But when you’re that close why not make it a 1:1 scale?

Slam on Accelerator, drive train snaps off. Splinters everywhere.

what is interesting is I think this was made prior to the final CT release, so Gj on dimensions

Yeah, I was going to say, “I’m pretty sure this is years old.” Thanks for confirming.
You can also tell that it's an old video because it features the built-in tailgate ramp and the full-sized Cyberquad ATV. During the 2019 Cybertruck reveal event, Tesla also announced the Cyberquad, and demonstrated how you could pull a ramp out of the Cybertruck tailgate and drive the Cyberquad right up into the bed (starting at 11:55 here).

Obviously the built-in tailgate ramp didn't make it to production; Tesla now offers a conventional ramp as an optional accessory. The full-sized "Cyberquad for Adults" never made it to production either. Tesla does offer a scaled-down toy "Cyberquad for Kids", but the one in the video appears to be based on the "real" full-sized version.

The "Cyberquad for Adults" hasn't been mentioned for years, and is presumably dead, except that the order page for the ramp still says:
The lightweight ramp is easy to install and can be used individually to move hefty gear or in pairs to load four-wheel vehicles like Cyberquad.

Wood seems fine to me 🤷‍♂️

The joke I remember from those days was about the <insert ethnicity of your choice> out in his driveway with a crowbar, trying to get his new car out of the crate...
