So glad the wifey is good and safe, and having personally been in a T Bone accident I am truly impressed with the limited damage sustained by the CT!

Seat covers have an opening to let airbags deploying in case of impacts:

Nice. Those look like side impact airbags deploying which are located next to the doors. My concern is the center airbags which are located nearest to the center console area. It is supposedly deployed to lesson the impact of people in the front seats smashing into each other during a severe side impact. All of the seat covers advertised on-line and on this forum targeting the Cybertrucks, mentioned their compatibility with side impact airbags but none ever mentioned about compatibility with center airbags. Unless these vendors would step up and make their cases. It is a concern, so "caveat emptor" ?

Yes, good point, more recent vehicles have an additional front center airbag,
so seat covers compatibility needs to be checked.

Note: I wonder now if seat covers can still provide sufficient air flow for ventilated front seats?

Yes. Maybe 10-20% reduced by not enough for me to remove them

Since Texas has a 100% ACV threshold, there's a much lower chance of it being totaled, but I seriously doubt it's going to be under $20k. Probably $20k in parts alone.

It would have been drivable if it had power and I do not know for sure but I think when the airbags blow they blow the pyro fuse to the high voltage pack.
So, are these pyro fuses a user replacement item? Is it feasible to buy a set to carry around?

wow, I bet that was scary. Glad the wife is not badly hurt. I see a lot of crashed vehicles, I suspect the other vehicle was going slower than 40 at time of impact, or the ice that betrayed your wife scrubbed off some of the energy after impact. Side impacts are tough on occupants though.

This video he explains how to replace it. Several things need to be checked and unplugged before it is done.

They're both inside the HV pack (one for each 400v-split side). You can get to them from underneath but it's not really a roadside repair.

These aren't "fuses" in the conventional sense, they're hand-sized cubes and not cheap.

Okay, here's my estimate... hehe...

I pick.... $9400... Based on it looks like it's just the two doors 'damaged' and the airbags and such of course... Yeah, I think under $10K for sure... Didn't even take out the mirror, glass etc...

Of course I have to wonder why it's on a tow truck... Now if it doesn't DRIVE for some reason (due to damage) then that's a whole nutter can-o-worms...
Yeah, I don’t see that happening. This truck is totaled. Even if you chose to repair it, it would be well over 10k. Being totaled also implies over 50% repair cost against the value of the vehicle.

This truck is totaled. Looks can be deceiving. I had my truck totaled several months ago and damaged looked minimal. I love my second truck even more. Better build quality.
