Tesla center in NJ not helpful for me. Went in to ask about delivery and see if SAWD was on their lot(wasnt) and they flat out told me none were coming until 2027 Also I guess you have to register where you are taking delivery. So new delivery location ohio.

I spoke with the Tesla Service Center in Temecula last weekend about the Terrestrial Armor Package - my concern is I didn't want to delay delivery if I added to the order if some reason Tesla is out of stock or reprioritizes (delays) my order as a result of adding the package. The Service Center Reps (spoke with two of them), said the Terrestrial Armor Package won't affect your order date as it ships separately and is installed by the Service Center prior to delivery. This of course may change....but this is the current process per the SC Reps.

I’m not sure why the service center reps told you they do the install for new orders. It’s done at the factory, which is why it’s $500 less than if you chose to buy it after delivery.

That way they avoid wasting the polymer running boards, and extra labor installing/taking them off to install the armor.

Historically orders that include options get some level of a higher priority for build as it helps push quarterly revenue. So you shouldn’t have any impact to delivery date.

Wheels have grown on me even though I have four atomic wheels in my garage to swap when I get mine.

Which atomic wheels did you get? Just curious I’m looking at what direction I’m going to go. Atomic is one of the brands I was looking at.

I did order these, and they’re not here yet either.
I was able to get the bead seat knurl, 18X9.5 wide, & they are putting extra room in the drum for calipers. Also the hub covers are the floating style so the logo is always upright

I was puzzled with the response stating the Terrestrial Armor Package was installed post-delivery and asked a few times, but that's what they said. I figured it must be cheaper for Tesla to build standard configs vs adding options on the production line....but didn't really buy that. And yes, I'm hoping the option adds a little margin to push my order through earlier....!
