Just FYI Copilot says that OR and WA will have no $59.9k deliveries until 2027. Supposedly how Tesla allocates Cybertrucks.

Has anyone heard differently?
Zero actual evidence of this FYI. LLMs will hallucinate nonsense like this if you poke them enough

I ended up going with the less expensive aluminum version instead of the carbon steel one. I realize aluminum may not be quite as robust as steel, but it also won’t rust, weighs less, and should be more than adequate for my use. I primarily use it as a daily driver, not an off-road rig, so I think it’s the right tradeoff. I will report back after I get it installed.
Make sure the tire shop and tesla service can lift your truck without having to take them off. Some boards have that issue

Absolutely. I plan on checking that. Will confirm once I get it on Tuesday.

That was me. Im referring to a period of about 6-8 months where I was window shopping cybertrucks pretty obsessively and carvana always had exactly 3 and they were never purchasable - in pending status immediately. I work nights at a computer so Id see them list almost live. Gotta admit thats weird. I assumed they didnt actually have any but wanted to show they did. Could also have been a bot buying them superhumanly fast for a dealership too I suppose. For some reason in this forum that translated to me hating the cybertruck and I have a narrative to push that no one is buying them. I thought it was the opposite and confirmed what I was seeing in thenused market - that no one was trading them in/they were retaining value bc people love them. But sure, I read this forum nonstop and my wife is ready to divorce me as I wont stop talking CT features because I hate them.
Carvana let's interested buyers register to receive a notification if a vehicle with a pending sale comes back on the market. If there were enough people shopping for used Cybertrucks then that could explain why they were always pending sale (another potential buyer locked it up as soon as the deal fell through).

If there was any funny business going on I would suspect it was on the buying end (bad actors locking the truck up with no intention to buy it) rather than Carvana pretending to have inventory they didn't have. As I mentioned, Carvana publishes the full VIN number of every listing.

Thank you! It wasnt just that they were unavailable, it was that there were always 3 exactly for months on end. If it was a dealership bot snatching them up to flip that doesn’t explain the never varying number in carvanas inventory. I didnt know vins were listed on carvana but I couldnt find where I could see them on purchase pending trucks. If you can then Im wrong but it was just the conspiracy theory of a dude who really wanted a CT - much like how we’re all reading tea leaves to guess our delivery dates.
Yes, I was able to view the VIN number of the Cybertruck that was locked up and then, when the 17 minutes ran out it, was listed as available again. I didn't try to buy it but it looked like I could have. When I checked back a few hours later, it was listed as pending. Carvana has to be getting the VIN numbers from somewhere. It would be pretty easy to prove consumer fraud if they were listing trucks that didn't exist (or that they didn't have the rights to sell).
