The original revel prices :

  • Single-motor variant: $39,900
  • Dual-motor variant: $49,900
  • Tri-motor variant: $69,900
Allowing for inflation, a single definitely or maybe a Dual $60,000 CT is possible.

since 21, the plaid is now cheaper than it was, 40% roughly. You do the math, 40% gets you that $60,000 truck. Not to mention better in almost every way. Ask me how I know

Tesla likes to get us with the early adopter fee, and they refine things to make them cheaper

Dream big. Change things. If volume happens the price will come down. The apple cart could be tipped. If that price happens or comes darn close. ICE would be over. So play that in to the equation.

I think the real question is - why dont you think there wont be a 60k version? You provide no proof or context when historically tesla has always delivered a single motor drive variant of their product.

Also in order to be competitive with the f150 (which can be bought with one drive axel) they would most likely make this model.

Someone mentioned the "premium" feel of the CT but tesla never touted it like that. That perception is placed on it by us.

You have to ask yourself, does Tesla want to scale Cybertruck? The TAM for $100K automobiles, does not fit the scale that Elon proposed for Cybertruck. Ford does sell some Raptors, but not 250,000 per year. Cybertruck is selling well, in part because of the 4 year wait for the truck. The total adjustable market is starting to settle in, and now anyone can configure a Cybertruck, even those that order today.
We only need to look back to 2022 and we will see $63K model Y. How many Model Y would Tesla sell today at that price point? Take a look at the price decline over Tesla's full lineup, and you'll see what will happen to Cybertruck, as the TAM settles, with the consumer spending power. You just run out of buyers in the $100K price point. The buyer pool at $60K is much larger. Tesla will have to refine manufacturing and supply chain, to keep CYbertruck profitable at that price point. If it can be done, Tesla can do it. IF not, it will be a niche vehicle like X. X is a great car. I have one, and I love it. But its not ever going to sell 250,000 per year, and neither will Cybertruck at $100K. I think Tesla might sell 100K Cybertrucks per year, if the price gets to $79,990. Even that will slow down, in a year or two. You run out of buyers, and consumers move on to the next new thing.

To help scale production Tesla will need to offer a $60k RWD version of the Cybertruck. I will be a huge hit in the Sunbelt states where AWD is not required.

Build it and they will come.

RWD version maybe. I doubt it will be any time soon since there are still people willing to pay more.

I don't see it and at this point it doesn't make sense!

AWD and Cyberbeast options are perfect! The only thing missing is AB for the AWD from 4.1 to say 3.6 :) haha!
