A shorter CT

Where would you prefer to lose the space to make up for 3% shrinkage in length?

It was stated on OP that the photo is from Florida, probably in a citified area (Not Texas construction site). But CT is definitely made to get dirty.

If you are saying lack of mud is an indication of fake photo, it is easy to add dirt or reflections to the surface of material in a 3D render.

People keep saying that but no one says how they know. It is obviously not what we saw at the reveal but how can you tell it is not the updated version?

  1. There is a known replica in that area.
  2. The replica has the door sills in different location than the prototype did. (The corner body piece wraps all around the wheel where the Cybertruck does not)

This is the only thing I have found in the area. The wheels are sticking out a little too much to be the same but it does have a full pass through ;)

It's not a cybertruck, it has terrible fit and finish, the front quarter window bodyline doesn't line up with the other side windows, it has visible pillars, etc. There's no way that is a Tesla.

I have to agree with some of the other comments above. If they are going to make it smaller they CAN NOT shorten the bed. Some of us actually plan to use it for work and it needs to easily handle a full sheet of plywood. I also would prefer a long bed version, 8' bed with the tail gate up.

If an 8’ bed is not offered, no passthrough and the tailgate flip does not work for your needs…

would you want an aftermarket clip add on. Uses the tailgate as the a bed extension and adds a new tailgate and cover to seal the tonneau cover. Can be made of stainless steel or carbon if you want it removable. Tail lights will be incorporated too. Tow hitch would take some thought.

Curious if interest to design. I was planning to wait to design the extension when I get my CT.

I believe the tailgate flip, if that refers to what I think it does, would work fine. In reality, I don't haul that much lumber but having a 4x8 bed is still one of the things I insist on. Currently I drive the only mini van available that will haul full sheets of plywood and pull my trailers.

I do, however, haul a lot of cargo, so your extension does sound interesting. My estimated delivery isn't until Nov. 2024 so a lot of time to look into it still. We are considering getting a Model Y instead of a CT if the waiting time looks to be accurate. Most likely won't be able to get both.

The current plan is to make this unit easily detachable but feel like it is part of the truck when attached.

Time and laziness will tell, I don’t have a personal need but just see it as a fun design challenge.

Yesterday I had to haul a ton of patio stone and then several pieces of plywood and lumber on my Mazda 3.

Poor thing.

I'm going to do it this afternoon again, too.

Take a photo when it collapses and include it with your emails to Tesla. That and the photos of my rusted truck should get their assembly line rolling.
