Mine dropped to 24A this month. Waiting 3 weeks for my appointment. VIN31k
Mileage 26500. They need to recall this part.
it's ridiculous that there is no warning at all. I just happened to check my charging speed.

I just noticed I was charging at 24/24A instead of 48/48A today. Service Mode shows PCS2_a127 but no user facing notifications. My Foundation Beast is at 66k miles so will be insisting that my service center do a good will repair...

I've also inquired in the past with my service center about the extended warranty "coming soon", and had also looked into the xcelerateauto warranty options. I just so happen to also be in the midst of purchasing a new Model Y... So hoping they will capitulate without much arm twisting.
Mine just popped up today. 74k Miles. Feb of 2024. :(

You may be in luck...

I'm so relieved: They scheduled me with a new svc center (SC), who apparently had the parts, but wasn't sure about my 66k coverage yesterday.

Today I spoke with my regular SC, & the ticket had been updated to good will, & there's a bulletin, & since it's "safety" I'm in tomorrow!

Sounds like it's not quite a full recall, but there's a "bulletin" or notice regarding the PCS issue, it sounded like to me. Seemed like it was a fairly recent thing perhaps.

After uninstalling all my custom bed shelf & air compressor, now it won't L2 charge. This is the first time the normal UI warned me that there was an issue, so I'm glad I noticed the 24/24A degraded charge rate a few days ago. The first 50% fault occured on the 11th and now fully failed for L2 charging and AC out/ power share today the 14th.

Service mode says that 48v is still ok (equivalent of a 12v alternator) and able to charge, so she's not bricked yet.

Gonna drop it off tomorrow morning, just in time. FYI: If you articulate that you're afraid it's a safety issue (which it could be) then they can escalate service with no appointment.

Thanks, hopefully I can drop off Monday morning and they will fix it on good will. I actually have an appointment Friday to do my rails, but I don't want to wait that long as it's my daily driver.

FYI, I wasn't able to charge at all with the warning. I did a reboot and can at least charge at 24A.

I was reading this thread yesterday thinking whew lucky I haven’t had this problem. Last night plugged in… 24a. PCS errors. Appointment in 3 weeks. Not trusting it will make it that long. Feels like we should get priority treatment for this.

I also only recently heard about this issue and thought I was lucky as well.... Then mine went from 24/24A to 0 in like 3 days, and I feared the 48v would give out, which would cause an emergency shut down. Tell service you're afraid it will shut down and that it's a safety critical concern and they can probably get you into service the same day.

Tried this morning, but service said they couldn't get me in loaner today. They said it doesn't affect supercharging so if I needed faster charging, use that until my appointment on Friday. Good news, they added the replacement on my ticket for free. Whew...

Thanks!

Noticed my CT wasn't charging last night. Went out to see what was up and saw two alerts on the screen PCS2_a094 & a095. AC Charging and Powershare issues. I don't have PowerShare set up and haven't used that before at the house but my level 2 is not working to the vehicle. I have scheduled a service and the earliest here in the Bay Area is March 4th....CRAZY. Wondering if many others are having same issue and that is the reason for long wait times getting into any service center?? Grok says many CT owners are having the same issue following the last software update. I am going to try a super charger today and hope I can get some juice there.

UPDATE: CT went in Wednesday and Tesla Palo Alto provided me a Loaner (model S Plaid). Friday the app updated saying it the work was complete. I was out of town but grabbed it yesterday and it successfully charged over night. While in they cleaned the camera and per my request swapped out the wiper blade. I have no complaints with this service and am extremely happy with the turn around time of what I had expected to be LLLLOOOOOONNNNGGG service visit. Hope this is the new Tesla service experience.

That's a great service center. Plano SC would leave the car in the parking lot for min. of 2 days before moving it indoor to work on it. :(

EDIT: I actually got the truck back the next night! Surprised!

I got mine back in 3 days. Im just happy I wasn't charged since im out of warranty.
Would you mind posting service invoice with information redacted. There are many approaching warranty expiration, or over it. Goodwill replacements documented go a long way when the initial denial occurs.

Darn.....seems to be inevitable. I wasn't able to charge at home or super charge so no option but to take it in before it died. Good thing I had 60% of the battery. The soonest service appointment i could get was almost a month out, I called and they told me to bring it in as soon as convenient, they gave me a loaner and said they put a rush on the parts and once they come in it only takes them a couple hours to fix. I dropped it off on Wednesday and it was ready for pick up on Friday....big welcome surprise for me. Hope you have the same.

Mine (07/2024 FS AWD, 23K miles) just went puff as well - while we were on a road trip to our snowboarding holiday in colorado. After supercharging all the way to the hotel (1000+ miles), during the night charging at the hotel (great service though!!!) got a note that chargin stopped unexpectedly and would neither take a charge from the level 2 nor tesla supercharger - went straight to denver-superior tesla service center, they took the CT in, gave me a loaner - we continued to the slopes, carving all day and picking it up again in the afternoon at no charge. what an amazing service from Tesla.
