If you read my review of the TC-BL you should have picked up that this compressor is for a system capable of inflating all 4 tires simultaneously. The compressor is way overkill for inflating one tire at a time because a Schrader tire valve can't flow that much air without building up excessive back-pressure.

I bought a self-coiling air hose once, never again. In most general purpose applications they are more trouble than they are worth. The rest of the fittings would have to be as cheap as cheap can be for them to sell at such a low price. If you like leaking air, get this $20 accessory kit.

The system I mentioned, the MorrFlate tire inflation system, is hard to beat in terms of quality. And if you buy the same quality hoses and fittings you will be very close to the price of the assembled unit. So, I think the price is reasonable. It's one downside is it takes a bit of skill to coil the hoses back up and fit them in the handy round hose bag but it's a lot better than filling each tire individually.

can you snap a photo of what it looks like in the smuggler bay? does it take up the whole center or do you have to take out a divider to make it fit?
Sure, will grab a photo later. It fits nicely with one removed. On the other side I fit in all my rope and a few tools.

It fits longitudinally, fore and aft relative to the truck, in the far left or far right side of the compartment like it was made for it. It's very compact, I just wish it were not so dense (heavy). But that mass is partly what gives it it's strong performance. I leave the divider installed and it fits perfectly in that space, with about 4" above unused.

It sits flat on the floor of the Smuggler's compartment (that's a tow strap draped over the back of the compressor) and there is room above for the Morrflate bag.

For the record, @cybercoffee , if you're going to buy something for tire filling, I think the dual piston Chinese compressor that @HaulingAss linked is a better fit. Like I said, I just threw that in because I had it.

Now if you wanted to run light tools and have a decent inflator in one, my bulkier option might be better for you.

good thoughts. I had bought months ago some astroai one from Amazon that had a 120V plug (in my other cars I keep cig lighter inflators) and the astroai one is barely up to the task. I’m sure it wouldn’t be enough to air all four tires back up if I did any meaningful airing down. Hence looking for a slightly beefier option…

I think with advancements in batteries and battery powered tools, pneumatic tools are going the way of the Dodo bird! I haven't used my heavy pneumatic impact driver since I bought a battery operated one for lug nuts years ago. I need to get rid of it. The battery tool is smaller, lighter, more powerful and more convenient. Eight years ago I bought a battery powered finish nailer so I didn't have to mess with a compressor and air hoses.

Amen to that... Pneumatic tools are a bear to lug around. They even have battery powered paint guns nowadays.

Based on good reviews listed here of what you bought, I'll be doing the same eventually. I've been procrastinating critical things like getting a spare. Keep finding excuses like "oh, I'll wait till the OEM tires wear out and get some 18s at the same time." I think the compressor is one of those things since I had a 120vac one, but this big boy isn't going to quit on me anytime and it's larger than necessary.

I don't off-road so I don't need a heavy duty option. Just something in case of emergency. I bought this one and it seems to work well enough. It's also really compact and fits easily in the sub-vault along a can of pump-through slime.

That has a might low max pressure. Have you tried it?

As for the slime, hopefully you'll never have to use it, or at least make sure that it is a dire emergency if you do.

Haven't used it on the CT, but did use the air pump on my Model S to inflate to 42 psi and it worked great. I know all about the controversy with sealants, and I carry a plug kit with me to avoid them unless absolutely necessary. If a plug doesn't work and I have to resort to slime, then the tire is probably a gonner anyway. Have used it a couple times in the past and tire shops didn't complain about it and it didn't damage the TPMS.

Has anyone found a reliable AC tire inflator to keep in the vault? Seems like many of them online are pretty cheaply made and weak.

I don't currently have a spare so am looking for something to store in the vault along with a tire plug kit....

Maybe the 20V battery versions are the way to go... ?
I saw Tesla mobile service using the miwaukee M18 inflator the other day and it inflate one of my AT tires fairly quick.
