This description is from Grok. Any idea what the hold up getting this feature turned on?

The system’s software analyzes these in real-time and generates “anti-noise” – inverted sound waves played through the speakers – to cancel out the originals, effectively neutralizing them before they reach your ears. The Cybertruck has the necessary hardware installed (similar to the Model S and X), but the feature is currently software-locked, meaning it could be enabled via a future over-the-air update at no extra cost. This complements the vehicle’s 360-degree acoustic glass, which provides passive noise reduction by filtering external sounds. Overall, it enhances passenger comfort on long drives or in noisy conditions, making the interior feel more serene.

I've experienced Active Noise Cancellation in Model S and X. Makes no difference if you can even get it to work. Most of the time it sits on "calibrating"

But again, switching it on and off when it's actually working produced no changes.

My guess is they're still trying to develop the feature? Or they intended on it being a CT feature and have given up on it

The specs for the CB and AWDP list ANC as a feature. Coming soon?

It's pretty worthless in the S/X. Hopefully it hasn't been turned on in the CT because they want to make it good.

In my X, from time to time, the ANC gets in sync with the heat pump sound instead of cancelling it out and it is deafening. Anyone else experienced that? I fix it by just rolling down the window for 5 seconds to change the input sound and it goes away.

Grok lies. It imagines these features.

I think this happened a few days ago in my '24 S Plaid. There was a crazy booooooom that would only go away if I cracked the window. It went away after a few minutes and wasn't due to the road or mechanical resonance.

Yep, that’s it. Today it happened again and I finally tried toggling ANC. That verified it, the noise started and stopped multiple times as I toggled it. It only ever happens to me after supercharging tho

I haven't supercharged in a long time.

I just updated to 2025.45.10 so maybe that will help or fix.

On our X it is always “Calibrating…”, not really that useful. They specifically call it out in the new trim differences chart so I assume it will come sometime in the next decade.

Also, it only tends to happen when the HVAC is under full load, it’s just so few times a year it happens, I haven’t thought about it much till I saw this thread
