I’m thinking the exact same thing. I want the truck so damn bad, but if I can’t get decent money for my vehicles, I’m going to have to pass on the truck. Last week, it was whatever I get, I’m selling them and doing it. But there’s no way I can justify that.
I absolutely adore my F-Type, I never really seen one before. I was shopping for another Boxster S, and found it and fell in love with it.
After I sold my boat, I sold my Cayenne diesel and got the Model 3 and love that too.
I’d also to have to sell my 2023 Indian FTR Carbon which would really bum me out.
Kinda the feeling when I sold my HyperMotard.

My neighbor already wants to buy my Model 3, as he’s seen me every weekend out detailing all the vehicles I’ve had over the years and he knows he’s getting a perfect car.

But if the Jaguar doesn’t sell, I think I’m out and probably just keep it and get a Model 3 Highland to help with my long drives to California every few months.
Totally sucks, but we’ll see what happens in the next month or so until they email me with a VIN.
Oh boy! That’s rough, especially for someone like you who really takes good care of your toys and loves them. Wish you all the best. Hope you can find a good buyer who equally loves them.

If things don’t go my way, I’ll just tell myself what Oracle told Neo in Matrix movie - “You have already made the choice. You just need to know why you made the choice”.

Nothing is set in stone. If $$ is the only thing holding us back, I’m sure one day we will buy CT/CB and enjoy it to our heart. It’s not a matter of IF but WHEN!

The experts say I need like 4x more saved for retirement than I currently have, but I'm way above average. Go figure. Who knows if I'll even live to spend it?

I'm gonna YOLO this thing

The Cybertruck may well find a similar "very nice niche", as a luxury product for wealthy consumers. But even if it does, it will be a disappointment given the hopes and expectations for a mass-market product that an average consumer could afford. For example, the following statement, made by Musk in 2019, has not aged well:
You can check my threads going back a couple of years - I always thought the Cybertruck would come in about $80,000, pushing towards $90,000. (I reserved a TriMotor so I expected a higher price). I took some flak from folks here on the message boards that Tesla would never price it that high! I didn't know what I was talking about.

Well, the Cybertruck right now technically costs $120,000! Even more than my guess.

And, I don't believe we will see a Cybertruck for less than $79K before 2026 - if ever. (Probably never). Sigh. I still plan to buy when I get my email. But not the Foundation Series. Although I need updates in 2024 to push the range up.

Tiffany and Gucci have a very nice niche marketing strategy and the buyers they have gladly pay for their products.

But Tiffany and Gucci don't desire to reach mass markets or the average consumer.
Also most that purchase Tiffany and Gucci products do not have purchase intentions of saving money or reducing air pollution or slowing global climate change.

It is obvious that the Non Beta Series Cybertruck is $20K cheaper. So it really comes down to if the person has control and patience to wait. You can say they have the money to afford the Beta Series, however, you can do a lot of other things with the $20K you save, like some nice upgrades to your Cybertruck. Without a doubt there will definitely be some repos happening.

IE: This is one of many general rules you will find about car payments:
Financial experts answer this question by using a simple rule of thumb: Car buyers should spend no more than 10% of their take-home pay on a car loan payment and no more than 20% for total car expenses, which also includes things like gas, insurance, repairs and maintenance.
Upgrades like wheels/tires, FSD, accessories, premium connectivity, a different interior color, etc.? That's well over $15k alone. Unlike dealers that just add a ton over sticker for nothing as a market adjustment, in the case of the foundation series you're actuality getting quite a bit. Assuming you want FSD, it's only about a $5k markup for that series.

I think the average order price of the AWD will still be in the $90s after it comes out with the options factored in.

TBH, I still don't know what I will do once my VIN is assigned. On one hand I am paying for it with TSLA stock I purchased over 10 years ago so I tell myself it is costing me less than $10k. But that is pure self-delusion. $130K (destination, tax, etc) is still $130K and if I wait 2 years I am sure I will be able to find one for at least $50K lower. So I'm paying over $2k/month to have it now. My rational brain is saying "Are you NUTS!" but the other side is totally "YOLO!"

I couldn't afford FS lol. So I am not :(.

Have to get them tax credits and deductions. I've been studying up on tax things lol Lyft and Uber driving is gonna help me get the truck lol. Since it adds so many miles, it's pretty easy to get over 50% usage towards business.
