I kinda like being unique. I typically go several days between fellow CT sightings, sometimes as far as a week. But I do hope manufacturing continues, saving for the next upgraded CT 😎
Yea the low production numbers are bad for insurance, parts, etc, if the line gets discontinued it would be a nightmare for owners who want to DRIVE their trucks. Good I suppose for the 20 people with Foundations and under 10miles on them as collector items.

Who knows what the future holds, but I intend to have a Cybertruck the rest of my days.
I tell people that it's my dream vehicle that I didn't know I was dreaming about.
That's a good way to put it!

I think when they've been around a while and the utility and durability is proven, people will be buying more and more.
That's true of the adoption curve of most new platforms, most people are not early adopters of something so new. With the Cybertruck it will be more pronounced, due to the amount of negative misinformation, and it's unique design.

Recently I've been seeing more Cybertrucks than ever in the wild up here in NW Washington. And a lot more more shiny silver ones than Cybertrucks wrapped in plastic.
Yeah, I was over in Bellevue/Redmond last week at a few appointments and I saw a number of them out and about. Lots of matte black wraps. When I pulled into the Supercharger in Mill Creek on the way home, I was the 3rd Cybertruck charging, so almost enough to have a proper posse.

Recently I've been seeing more Cybertrucks than ever in the wild up here in NW Washington. And a lot more more shiny silver ones than Cybertrucks wrapped in plastic. I think conservative buyers (those who don't jump in feet first to buy a brand new model) are starting to trickle in. I expect sales to gradually build over the next couple of years. It's a screaming deal for those in the market for a new full-sized truck for $80K.

Remember, the Dual Motor comes well-equipped, with a motorized hard tonneau, 35" tires, and the best safety and driving dynamics in the industry. No need for gas, oil or a bedliner saves more money. And that dent and scratch resistant body!
Ha! I’ve noticed that too in the Bellevue and north areas.

It’s nice that the ”Tesla Wave” still exists and it’s only for us Cybertruck owners. The rest of the SEXY fleet has long since moved on from that! :)

Do you wave at other Cybertrucks of flip them off for being so smart? 🤷‍♂️

Here is my take

I was an Early Adopter of Tesla, I bought a 2013 Model S (VIN under 4000), way back on January 17th, 2013 (ordered in August of 2012). I drove down to Mawah, NJ to test drive it back then, it was a decision between a Nissan Leaf and the Model S.. glad I went with the Model S... even with all of the issues (and over 40 service center visits). Back then, Tesla treated the Early Adopters like Kings.. they would wash and detail the cars, after a service center visit, provided loaners or would drop you off, etc.

I had been driving the Model S up until August of this year, with a cross country road trip (7,000 miles roundtrip) 2 years ago, and a recent trip to Florida (3,000 miles round trip). I had unlimited free supercharging, so used it :) In early August, I started getting HV error codes, and messages like "vehicle needs service and may not restart". Tesla service wanted $850 just to diagnose what the specific issue was and get an estimated repair cost.. at that point, I decided I wasn't going to put more money into a 13 year old Model S, that was only worth $6-8K max anyway, and the range of issues could be from a low of $1500-$2000, all the way up to a HV battery replacement at $12K or more. It was time for a new Tesla.

I had an early reservation on the Cybertruck, but when they decided the Foundation Series at $120K for the Tri-Motor and $100K for the Dual Motor, I could not pull the trigger, too many memories of being an early adopter on the Model S, I vowed to never do it again.

I waited and waited and waited.. but now the Model S had to be replaced, the EV %30 Federal Tax credit was ending shortly, and I had to make a decision.. I almost bought a Model X, which would have been fine, but pricing it out, it was $15K more than the Dual Motor Cybertruck, and Tesla was offering %0 Finacing on the Cybertruck at the time, and with the early reservation, I was able to buy FSD for $7K. I priced it both ways, with FSD and without, but without the financing was about %4 or so.. so I went for FSD, as it makes no sense to buy a new Tesla without it, and I look at it as it really only cost about $3600, because of the money the %0 financing saved

There is a world of differance between the orignal 2012/2013 Model S (only a backup camera, PTC heater, "What's FSD", etc), and the Cybertruck.. 13 years is like 4 lifetimes, in Teslas world.

Very happy with the Cybertruck, I really no longer drive anywhere, it drives me, from backing out of the garage to parking at the destination, I hardly drive at all any longer (except for parking at COSTCO, that is a quest all by itself). Glad I gave it a year and a half for Tesla to work out the "early" issues and solve the initial bugs, (thanks early adopters). I used to use the Model S like a pickup truck anyway (can't tell you the number of times I had 10' pieces of EMT/PVC pipe in it, lol)

Now my only issue is buying things for it (running boards, rear view camera mirror, floor mats, full size spare tire, storage boxes, molly panels, cargo divider, etc.. the list goes on and on). I think the Cybertruck will be around a long time, and they will use the platform for a van/box truck eventually, the 48V electrical, steer by wire, rear wheel steering will go into all new large vehicles they design.
