Maybe 250k a year production wasn't in the works, and there are not a "lot" of these out but I sure love mine. Everyone who has one says they love it. It may or may not gain traction but I still feel it's a win. Elon definitely shoots himself a lot in promises. The extended battery was an issue for sure but Even if they dropped it,,, I think it would rapidly become a collector. In the meantime its nice to see all of us on the road.

Recently I've been seeing more Cybertrucks than ever in the wild up here in NW Washington. And a lot more more shiny silver ones than Cybertrucks wrapped in plastic. I think conservative buyers (those who don't jump in feet first to buy a brand new model) are starting to trickle in. I expect sales to gradually build over the next couple of years. It's a screaming deal for those in the market for a new full-sized truck for $80K.

Remember, the Dual Motor comes well-equipped, with a motorized hard tonneau, 35" tires, and the best safety and driving dynamics in the industry. No need for gas, oil or a bedliner saves more money. And that dent and scratch resistant body!

REALLY hope it does not become a "collectors car" that means low production, harder to insure, parts, service, TIRES, wiper blades, battery replacements, etc all become a nightmare.
I drive the truck hard, use it for work, and am putting miles on it so unlike the first 20 trucks released that have under 50 miles on them mine will not be a collectors item, and I hope that 5-10 years from now production is way higher and there are way more on the road.

The novelty of having something other people don't pails in comparison to the downsides of limited production. Hoping Tesla between better manufacturing and cost cutting along with marketing can turn it around so when I walk into the parking lot I have to pay attention to "which cybertruck is mine"

They have positive gross margin on the platform, so that is good, as a Tesla investor. Of course it would have been nice if the CT replaced the F150 in america, but that was never likely to happen.

I do kind of like that they have not taken over the roads as I enjoy having a unique vehicle.

its way ahead of the good old boy mindset that buys F150/Ram/Tundra/Silverado today
we should have known that from the start

I hate the F150 driving experience
did not love my wrangler, land cruiser driving experiences
I love my Cybertruck driving experience, its was sold me
if the Cybertruck did not drive the way it does and not at least 300 miles of range
it would have been DOA for me

think Elon putting that at SpaceX assures that the Cybertruck will be around for a long time
probably the protype for the moon and mars rovers

We have more and more here in east-central Florida, which I love to see.

Who knows what the future holds, but I intend to have a Cybertruck the rest of my days.
I tell people that it's my dream vehicle that I didn't know I was dreaming about.

I think when they've been around a while and the utility and durability is proven, people will be buying more and more.

I agreed, it's nice to see the truck on the road. I received many compliments and also some negative comments, but that's okay. This truck is not for everyone.

Well, you need to drive through Irvine, California, the Tesla capital, as I recalled. There are more CT and Tesla in this city than the Magafactory in Texas.

Strangely people that hate Tesla and Cybertruck are those never own nor driven one. Haters got brain washed by the toxic left propaganda.

It’s much like the FSD haters who’ve never tried it. I don’t trust it 100% but honestly, it’s getting up there .

OTOH I’ve never driven an F150 or a Silverado, but I’m absolutely sure I’d hate it! So …

Biggest issue with the CT is that it makes driving any other car difficult. After one year with the CT, got into my wife's Range Rover and hated driving it (I had to steer and use the brake again).

Not to get political, but the CT got bashed from both sides, ala Jerry rig everything (left), whistlindiesel (right), and neutral (mark rober, but that was more propaganda against tesla than specifically CT). We were left in a situation that only those willing to look into issues their own and not hang on the slop of the media/influencers to drone on with a pre-approved opinion from their collective.

Personally, I just write all these people off as the same group of people that said over 100 years ago the automobile was too niche and would not replace the horse. Will my CT replace my f350 for towing or long distance driving? Nope, technology isnt there yet (unless tesla allows us to use the now defunct wireless charging port to plug in an external generator) much like the first automobiles had to be refueled via Jerry cans at the local hardware store. But breakthroughs will happen and whether people like it or not, fossil fuels are finite and synthetic generation is still cost prohibitive and likely to stay that way for a while due to so many governments pushing zero emissions mandates on everyone.
