Thanks. My call was to determine if the text was legit; yes or no. I have had to dodge a couple of clever scams lately. I didn’t/don't know the answer to that question. I ordered white interior to get a June- August delivery. Gray would have been later. I don’t know what an upgrade for interior would be - whatever is handy when my order comes up? I don’t want all terrain tires. And do want the bit of extra range projected for all season tires. So, I won’t respond and hope for delivery in 2024.

See my post directly up from yours. Yes, it's legit. Personally, I've waited this long, not going to compromise on what I want so I'm not replying to my text.
Yep. Me to. Thanks and good luck.

"Translation: We have too many unsold CT sitting around, please take one that's been sitting in the parking lot for the past month."

Exactly.

They are also trying to get all Cybertruck's sitting in the lot delivered to buyers by COB Sunday, the last day of Q2.

the only CT sitting at delivery centers without an owner are ones from owners that dropped out. They are likely just trying to get any stragglers sold by Q end.

Correct, after not replying to my first text from this morning, I received a 2nd text at 4pmEST that said the same thing. Just in case I missed the first one. Then, just now at 5:00pmEST I received a phone call to make sure I received the text. Basic story was they had vehicles ready for delivery in just a few days if I was willing to change my configuration to the AT tires/wheels. I politely said I'm sticking with my all season configuration. I am hopeful this means Foundation is ending sooner than expected, and maybe my configuration will be at the beginning of non-FS. Fingers Crossed.

I was informed that if I wanted to take delivery sooner that I needed to change my configuration because core wheels and AS tires would delay delivery.

so I opted to take AT tires at stated decreased range of 318 miles. Within an hour I had a VIN assigned after waiting 35 days after initial configuration.

I'm going to end up with the same thing then. I switched to the core wheels which pushed the expected delivery to Oct-Dec. Ordered the CB 12/21/23 which was supposed to arrive mid to late 2024, but now im guessing it may show up sooner. I hope we at least get the aereo covers for the AT tires. That’s the reason I switched to core since I kept seeing threads about them not fixing the issue.

Too funny, after I opted for yes to AT tires at 1555 ET my delivery appointment is set for tomorrow at 1230 ET.
So from yes to VIN assignment to delivery appointment in less than 6 hours. I’m not complaining but this is a joke.
I sent my service advisor a message letting them know I’ve spent a lot of money with Tesla maybe I need to reconsider my purchase options.

I got a message back that deliveries were scheduled via automated software ? I said sure well it’s flawed and my phone started going off today.
Not saying that these tactics will or would work in every case but I have lots invested in Tesla autos and have patiently waited since ordering late November 2019

Did you pick white or grey interior?

I too have a text message from Tesla today asking to change configuration for sooner delivery. I chose grey interior with core AS tires. I am willing to switch to the less-efficient AT tires if the truck is delivered with the wheel covers as I hate having rust on the wheel center at delivery. Has anyone received their truck with the wheel covers recently? Do they allow you to cherry-pick the configuration such as keeping the grey interior and only changing AS to AT tires? I am hesitating right now as I don't want to end up with the white-interior trim as it will blind me under the bright sun and will get dirty quite easily.

The rust will be there regardless of covers. The covers only hide it.

I’ve been eligible to order FS for quite some time but I’m waiting for non FS. I checked the ordering page in my app just for ‘fun’ which I do all too much, and the all season tires aren’t there anymore.

I assume this isn’t a glitch. It makes sense if the Foundation orders are going away altogether soon. All the more reason for me to wait because I prefer the increased efficiency despite the more rugged look of the AT tires.

I don’t think any actual AS tires have been delivered so hopefully their future availability isn’t in question. Tesla website still lists 340 miles of range so I’d be surprised if they aren’t going to be available at some point.
On June 17th, I personally viewed CT at SC in FL, with AS tires and Gray interior.

Well, here we are, 3 days later. I thought the following narrative of my experiences so far might be at least entertaining, and maybe even helpful in some way.
Friday, I received a repeat text. I was on Ocracoke Island, NC, about 800 miles from home. That afternoon I received a call from a Tesla rep. saying they could arrange for delivery that weekend of a truck with white interior, but with all terrain tires instead of the all seasons I had ordered.
I explained that there was no way I could move the money and add insurance before today. The rep. agreed to put my order on hold until tomorrow 7/2, and give me time to consider changing to all terrain tires. After looking into the matter more closely, I realized that the truck I drove to Ocracoke has all terrain tires! Not all season as I thought. So I called the guy back and left a message that I could accept a CT with AT tires after today (7/1). Checking my account, I saw that I had a VIN.
We left to return home Saturday morning. Driving through North Carolina around 2 PM, I received a call. My wife answered and it was a rep who said they had our CT ready for pickup at 5:00 PM that afternoon. My wife explained that we were driving in North Carolina. He said, “so you’re not in Missouri” ROFL!! She gave me the phone and the rep explained that they had to deliver that CT that day by 5:00. He was in St. Louis, the nearest SC to our home. Since I couldn’t be there. They would deliver it to someone else (within 3 hours!?) and I would be next in line at the St. Louis SC. I Asked (ha ha) if he had any idea when the next one would be available and of course, he didn’t. BUT WAIT, there’s more! I had 2 remaining tasks: provide insurance documentation and financial arrangements. Arriving home this afternoon, I moved the money and called my insurance agent who had to have a VIN - which had been removed because they apparently found someone to deliver it to. Then I decided to compare my insurance quote with Tesla’s. When I did, it indicated that I have a VIN! BUT I don’t know if it is a new one or residual listing of the original one (I didn’t make a note of the first one).
Side note, we happened to go near the Knoxville Tesla store yesterday and I got to actually sit in and otherwise go over a CT. The white interior is quite modest - essentially being a wide white strip around the interior, and the AT tires looked quite acceptable to me despite the projected 20 mile loss in range. So, I wait. ?
