The 21-25 S/X version is buggy and needs perfect calibration to work okay. It does make a difference in some very specific instances. It was a rather poor implementation of the technology. The recent refresh in 25 brought improvements and is on par or slightly better than Lexus vehicles. Who knows where the CT falls on that scale....

kinda bearish on this to be honest. I could have sworn they had this already, a couple trip some months ago I got headaches when going 75ish, and it was when my head was in a certain (normal) spot. I'm hoping for the best though

Seems like a big stretch between listed on a spec sheet and actually implemented soon. It was also listed on the comparator for the RWD CT vs. AWD/Beast.
I was thinking the exact same thing, but “Not A Tesla App” actually doing an article today about it coming makes me somewhat hopeful that Tesla is working on it…I’m honestly shocked that the CT has been out now for over 2 years and they haven’t implemented it yet…surely it can’t be more complicated than FSD was to implement and we have had that for over a year now

This 'sounds' 😎 like a far from trivial problem to solve. Easy enough with headphones or earbuds because the sensing microphone is right at your ear and all you really need to do is flip the arriving sound wave 180° to cancel it out. But when the microphones are elsewhere in the vehicle and your head is moving all over the place relative to them, it seems like that would be a more difficult problem to sort out.

This will pair nicely with the cooled front seats I call Active Fart Cancellation.
Yea except the ventilated seats do absolutely nothing compared to M3 and MY

Hopefully the noise cancellation is at least decent.

I think ANC have always been listed. Interested in how it works. In ANC headphones, it plays the inverse waveform of the noise, thus cancels out the noise waveform. There are some side effects, since it is outputting an inverse noise at the same amplitude, your brain perceives the frequencies.

As long as they cancel out the noise as it comes through the walls, near the speakers, then the out of phase cancels the noise there, it wont matter where your head is. It’s still a difficult problem that require a lot of calculation, and prediction. Most ANC headphones have dedicated hardware to predicting the sound, hopefully it wont take from FSD compute.

Had a 2024 Ram 2500 with ANC.

That truck was spooky quiet.

Don't know if the hard corners on the CT make this more challenging or not.

Edit: the grey truck behind the CT in the profile pic is the particular truck mentioned.
I like that, "Spooky quiet". Hope the CT is as spooky.
