Anyone disappointed with the loudness of motor whirring

I have to admit for how much I love the truck and how great it drives, I don’t understand why they made the motors so freaking loud
I was really hoping this would be a more pleasant experience on the freeway. The Decibel Meter hits nearly 75 when you go 70 miles an hour or faster.

Does anybody else have the same experience?

Havent measured the motor sound level on mine, but I dont even notice it. Will try to measure on way to work to give you another comparison.

The gearbox whine is super annoying. Mine is at a SC right now for it. It went away a bit with the first release of 2024.26 and it's worse in the mornings. Even other Tesla drivers comment on it, "The CT is way louder than any other Tesla".

Same here, I actually would love a “increase motor drive ambient noise” toggle in the drive settings area ???????

Yea it's not just the DB level, it's the piercing high pitched tone. It's quite bad/annoying, bordering on hearing damage. (CyberBeast)

Agreed. I love the Electric motor sound, the gearbox whine is terrible and not something I've ever heard in another Tesla.

It's terrible and consistent.

AWD here. I find the ride very quiet. I hear the motor but mainly when accelerating fast. I like the sound actually but don’t find it very loud
